They're so damn amazing! ... In the first moment I thought: Yay a new "emmure band" and then came THAT chorus! ... This band needs a lot more fans! The album "To whom it may it concern" is so fucking awesome.... I need more of this!
Why aren't they popular? I can name some shitty bands right now who are, at this very second, playing Main Stage at Warped, and don't deserve it. I Googled this band, and the best I could get it some bullshit from a TV show, with a character named Sylar. They just need more publicity & exposure. They're fucking amazing.
If it wasn't for Stray from the Path dropping off the Emmure tour back in 2014, I probably would have never checked out Sylar. I'm a dude who hates electronics in metal, but these dudes do it so fuckin' wonderfully. Plus those riffs are fuckin bouncy.
there's nothing else but this EP that sounds so reminiscent of Attack Attack's This Means War. It's something special for sure. I'm sure when Caleb produced this EP he took a lot from This Means War for this project. That's why nothing else (at least to me) can compare to that sort of This Means War type of sound.... it's so good and I hope my own music can pull it off at least too when I share some. Caleb absolutely went off with the production and guitar tones!!
I don't know if any of you guys have seen them live, but they came to a really small venue in Evansville Indiana with Attack Attack, and I was blown away. Serious quality.
You guys are playing with For the Fallen Dreams and I, the Breather in May in SLC. I've never heard you guys before but I'm glad I have now!! I'm impressed. You guys kick ass.
I respect you man. I do agree that they have a similar sound as Attack Attack, Emmure, etc (Caleb Shomo did produce them, too). But they are definitely standing on their own. I'm looking forward to see them grow!
I saw these guys with Attack Attack back in October, and had no idea who they were. I really wish I had known them prior to seeing them, because they're fucking incredible.
I don't know where you are getting the "Tough guy, I'm from queens" attitude? Met these guys at a house show in Maine some of the coolest guys. Its a music video. They can act however they please.
The stupid shit comments I am seeing on this video are exactly why the "metal scene" as a whole is quickly fading. Last time I checked what you where and how you talk does not define your music. Your music defines your music. These dudes are tight as fuck and I can respect that.
