I got these light bulbs and I can't make them do anything I turn them on they flash red blue and then go to a normal color light turning it on and off doesn't reset or do anything I can't connect to anything
I’m guessing you bought used and not new. Correct? The Wi-Fi on these bulbs notoriously stop working after about 18 months. I’ve bought literally dozens of them and they ALL eventually fail like this.
I'm sure I'll figure this out or not figure this out when I'm at the house next, but curious if you need WIFI to connect to these lights? We own a rental home where the tenants just left, thus there is no longer WIFI in the house. Would I be able to download the app and connect to these existing lights w/out a WIFI connection? They are currently flashing like a dance studio so not a tremendous look when showing the house at night. Thanks!
These bulbs suck. They never connect. Have to always reset them to work. I would never recommend these to anybody. Save yourself some money get you some Feit smart bulbs. Half the price and actually work
Normally you have to turn the bulbs on and off, 3-4 times really quick for them to reset. Or deleting them from the app should reset them the next time they are powered on.
Most wifi networks are 2.4 by default. Some of the Comcast and att modems label them as "2.4 or 5" by putting the number at the end of the wifi SSID. (Wifi name) If you only have 1 signal, it is most likely a 2.4Ghz wifi which this will work with. In the end, the device will only connect to a 2.4GHz network and can't connect to the 5Ghz. So with my setup for email, I have 1 SSID (wifi name) and it supports both 2.4 and 5Ghz wifi. Since the device can only connect to the 2.4Ghz network, it just naturally does it by default. So you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
Yes they work well.. BUT.. I've had 7 of them (1 stopped working) running for a few months now.. and checked their internet usage... each bulb is sending OVER 250 megabytes a month back to Sylvania / Google they only recieve about 7-8 megabytes per month,,, so 250mb x 7 bulbs,.. almost 2 gigs? these bulbs are collecting WAY to much info.. and technically these are just crippled Tuya bulbs.. . I would avoid these if you are about privacy.
I think I've replied to most comments on this video. Due to some dumb FCC rule, I have to put it is sponsored even thought I wasnt paid for the video, they just gave me a $20 smart bulb. These have been great to me. Still using mine today with no issues.
@@BigCVlogs bro I just opened the box plugged them in and goes to a soild colour tried resetting them both and updating them 100 times did nothing and most people in the comments having the same issue they are using you by making this video to get people to buy shity bulbs clearly
