Surprised this song didn't receive the attention it so rightfully deserved. And Sylvester rarely song this song back in the day. This is one of the first of his songs I heard back in the early 80s. And didn't get much radio play. I think I heard this song maybe once or twice back in the early 80s. This song didn't really take off till the late 80s into the 90s. This became a club Classic hit for most DJs.

This song helped create the musician I am today. I remember first hearing this song one time in 1989-1990, in my bedroom, when i started my musical journey into Djaying (I fell in love with it, the first time I heard it. For some reason I could not remember the name of this song, but always new the tune. Then about 10 years ago, I heard DJ Qua play like 30 seconds of it on the radio, and I immediately texted him for the name of this song, and he responded "I Need you". And it finally clicked. I remembered the few lyrics from many years ago. Damn, R. I. P. Sylvester.
