Along with Tom Baker, David Tennant, Patrick Troughton, and Matt Smith, McCoy is one of my top five favorite doctors.

Sylvester is in my top five too. My favourite five in order are Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, David Tennant, Sylvester McCoy and Peter Davison.

People might not like Sylvester's Doctor so much, but his is the Doctor I most related to. A sense of being protective, but being a cunning and manipulative person aswell. Was brilliant.

The Doctor's quote at 3:11 - priceless and prophetic.

Yes, it was deleted from the final edit. If they had kept it in, it would have tied in nicely with the plan of revealing the Doctor to be a very important Time Lord if there had been a series in 1990.

The doctor who transcended dimensions and canon on numerous occasions, able to be the jolly eccentric performer and tutor and also master manipulator at the same time. The first story I saw 7 in was lung barrow by marc platt and it's coloured my view of him for the better.

Nice work on this tribute!! McCoy was the end of an era for me. I was sad to see the show end cause i genuinely liked his Doctor. I was lucky enough to meet him in person recently and he was pleased to know my kids are now watching his episodes as well as the older Doctors. He called them Classic Who fans. lol Lovely man. Keep up the good work with these tributes! I'd love to see more!

@Castrolvalva I think he was actually the man who saved the series' credibility. He made the Doctor far darker and more sinister. That and his own talent for magic tricks really helped make things come to life in several episodes. I think the borderline magic over science elements also helped the series become more mysterious and emphasized his own alien nature bringing it back to the original Hartnell episodes.

@spys901 Right because every scene a super dramatic, climactic, cue the big music and tears style of the new show is so much better.

I just want to add my ore in ... I LOVE SYLVESTOR I got a piccie of myself and him together in a hug. He was absolutely gorgeous and kind. Let me get real close and I can't remember if I kissed him or not ... I got his autograph somewhere, NEVER getting rid of that. A brilliant underused actor! And as my name suggests, my Favourite! I remember Curse of the Fenric.

@spys901 How many of the McCoy episodes have you watched?
@fjccommish

@spys901 Good, because McCoy did a great job. Some of the scripts were bad, the budget was ultra low, but McCoy was terrific and the pacing was still better than they hyper fanatic pace of the new show.

Its funny how people point fingers at Sylvester Mccoy and colin baker for bad ratings in the late 80's when really it was down to poor stories and scripts and That noobhead michael grade.

Obviously not, seventh doctor lost viewing figures because of colin Baker who ruined the show! Christopher Eccolstone and Tennant and Smith are aload of crap, doctor who is now a kids show used to make money by the bbc.
