That's awesome. I'm happy for all of you that had the chance to meet him. He has been my idol since i was a kid, and continues to impress me to this day!
@@MC-mn6mu I was in the back row, barely visible. I was wearing a snow suit because I was so cold and forgot a jacket. I drove over 2 and a half hours praying I can see him and get him to sign a glove, and I was successful.
Movie was decent. He was NOT a real fighter. He does not deserve a boxing statue in a city known for boxing greats.. all this BS is to put in the minds of white kids they had a great white fighter.. smfh
@UCHIHA MASSACRE My comment was NOT about his movies... It was about a boxing statue in his honor. He should not have a BOXING STATUE in his honor.. he is an entertainer not fighter. Hollywood walk of fame yes. If anybody in Philly deserves a statue it Joe Frazier..
@@mikethebike2456 Who's kids? African American kids already have dozens of boxing legends. He should not have a BOXING STATUE in his honor.. He is an actor not a real fighter. Hollywood walk of fame yes. If anybody in Philly deserves a statue it's the REAL Philly boxing legends.
I just love it when supper stars give up their time to make people happy. Sylvester Stallone you make me happy by watching your vids of you visiting people. You Rock!
Creating an actual sporting legacy while on set... that's something not even Dwayne The Rock Johnson has done!!!!! So inspirational and next level!!!!!
It's so nice to see Sly be so active among the common folks in the world wherever he goes. We see so many Hollywood stars become so full of themselves in their wealth and be a recluse in society you never hear about them. Sly is a legend and always will be, he hasn't forgotten his roots.
Saddest part is they built joe Frazier a proper world champions statue after this fake fictional character statue makes me sad 😔joe fought Ali 3 times n he was a legend 👊.
this comment doens't even make sense as this is a movie prop made for a movie. Not like the city of Philly decided to make Rocky a statue and not for Joe Fraizer
@@jangoescoricky9393 champion who is a movie actor. Not Sylvester Stallone don't earn the right to be talk about in the same breath as Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. Sylvester Stallone didn't put the work in like real boxer. Sorry can't do it
@@mikethebike2456 Samuel L Jackson does look young, that I will give you. But, Like Shatner, they gave him a girdle to hide the belly, or just a big old jacket. I actually think he has gotten down the belly fat a bit this year, but I saw a big old pot belly on him last year.
Eastside high students are a part of cinematic history as well. Eastside High was where principal Joe Clark came along and changed the student/teacher culture which inspired the movie 'Lean on me' starring Morgan Freeman.
Students from a famous School visit a famous statue. I don't know why the statue was moved that is what got people in the front door of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
@@SonnyGTA no not black just wanting you guys to acknowledge the REAL champ as well. I believe his name was Smokin' Joe Frazier. And so what if he's black, at least he's REAL! go see comic Bill Burr, hell square you away. Just look up Philly comedyfest.
After finishing my career teaching in the public school system (3 years to go)...I plan to go to the top of those steps, kneel where he stood, and cry like a baby...just let it all out, all the years of struggle and hatred toward teachers. KEEP PUNCHIN' !
@@SonnyGTA lol - non-blacks have and continue to high jack the history of sports in this country that blacks have made legendary especially boxing; Blacks and Mexicans are the greatest boxers in the sports history period! Now you have a actor who never boxed with a boxing "statue" in Philly! Bernard Hopkins, Joe Frazier to name a few & should be the one students go see.. Have the kids visit the Hollywood walk of fame for the Rocky movies.. Not a boxing statue
@@tommyalexander9159 Stallone is a great writer, and the only actor in the history of film to play a fictional character that he created for the last 44 years & counting... Stallone never claimed to be a boxer in real life, the story itself is for everyone, and even though its about the sport of boxing - the message is for (us all) to keep moving forward no matter what obstacle we are up against.
@@JasonJTavares I agree he is a good writer & actor to those specific roles he created. My beef was about the boxing statue; Stallone already has a star on the Hollywood walk of fame for his craft; you dig! Leave the boxing and sports statues and monuments to the actually athletes. I'm jus saying Jason.
hey students, hey students, since your teacher wont give you no extra credit why dont you stop by school tomorrow and ill show you what real extra credit is, i bet you stay up every night dreaming of a teacher that would curve your grade
People think of Sylvester Stallone as a bum kind of actor not able to do anything good... My advice; watch Cop Land.. I LOVE Rocky and Rambo, but just watch Cop Land.. Sly's best work in my opinion :)
