‪@sylviahalpern‬ from ‪@TravelsByTrike‬ new trike reveal. ‪@hpvelo‬ HP Velotechnik Scorpion FS20 Recumbent Trike
@Sylviahalpern has been riding her faithful trike, Myrtle all over the world for over a decade and many thousands of miles.
In this timelapse we remove Myrtle's drive train, motor, suspension, and other components to transplant them on her well-earned new frame.
Sylvia's trike is an HP Velotechnik Scorpion FS20 with a Shimano STEPS electric assist motor, a Rohloff Speedhub, and a Son Nabendyno generator hub with headlight.
Her trike is also equipped with a RockShox air shock, a rear rack, dual batteries, HP's Premium ErgoMesh seat, and a Finer Recliner neckrest from T-Cycle.

I haven't been here before, but I just had to check it out - the title indicated my trusty HP Scorpion. I was wowed by the heroic music - perfectly fit to that magnificent machine. Then I practically stood up and cheered when I saw the lady flying - FLYING! What a wonderful tribute to never growing old. Hoo-RAH Sylvia!

You now have one fantastic Trike does that colour ever make Mrtyle ever pop. The makeover made her sit up and really be noticed now. When I saw this video It made me excited to want to see you start your tour right now. Good travels a head. I look forward to seeing your videos on your 9000 tour. Wow! That’s stunning, congratulations! Dana and Raina at BentUp Cycles did one sweet build on that trike! Somebody said there’s a build video for your new ride. Can you post a link?

Awesome trike! I have a very similarly-outfitted HP FS26 Ped-elec with the rohloff in the back and the Shimano Steps EP8 motor in the front, built a few years ago. I have a few thousand miles on it and it's still riding like new. My question for Bent Up is, is there a way to pull wattage (power), cadence, and speed from the Shimano stuff into some sort of fitness tracking app on my phone via bluetooth? I'd heard about Shimano possibly supporting it in their app "sometime in the future" but I've had no luck trying to reach out to them, and my current bike shop doesn't seem interested in pushing them for an answer.

Sylvia, what is the loop coming from under the frame on the right side? It really looks great in yellow.

The loop under Sylvia’s trike is made up of the cable for her Shimano STEPS speed sensor and power cables as well as the dual cables for the Rohloff SpeedHub.

It would be cool if there was any information about what features are on this trike that make it so awesome. I used to have a gekko fx 20 which I sold in 2018, I'd be curious to know what the latest features are compared to any other trike that make the scorpion fs20 better.
