Here is a 1st ride with my newly bought SYM Jet14 200 2019 model, my immediate thoughts, enjoy the video, thanks for subscribing, I will do many more videos on this popular scoot as time progresses, until next time, Safe Motoring.
I have one of these for my daily commute. I am enjoying it so much. Very nifty scooter. Leaning and cornering is very stable and I have reached speeds of up to 110km per hour with mine. I am very happy with my SYM Jet 14 200cc.
Very practical and cheap to run and maintain. Mine has about 900 km on, and it runs better and better. Have had not 1 issue. Very satisfied with my purchase.
Thanx for a very nice and interesting video. We'll done. I traded my Sym Fiddle II in on this one, after 18 000 km. The Jet 14 goes better, but is the same ride. I will closely be watching your maintenance videos. Eagerly!
Hi can you do more pros and cons about your sym jet 14. Thanks! Currently the Philippines released this model in 2019 with dual ABS, liquid cooled and 150cc. More pinoys will likely watch this review because its english. Thanks! Also please include its reliability (engine)
Hi, I would be very grateful interested in a video on what it would cost to the owner to have a major service done on the Sym jet14 like prices on parts to replace the front CVT transmission assembly like rollers, drive plate, belt or the rear clutch drive assembly like clutch shoes, or springs or maybe the cost of replacing the whole rear clutch assembly and prices of parts? How long before parts have to be replaced mileage wise. The quality of the parts stripped down, like the rear clutch assembly and it's seals? Mostly I'm concerned about the exorbitant prices the dealers charge for genuine parts! Thanks
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 hi there I have a Corsa B 2004 model and I am have trouble starting it,when I turn the engine I can hear only the starter motor going and not the engine cranking over.. would really appreciate it if you could help. Thanks
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 hi boet, I still think it would be helpful to get an idea of the cost of replacing these parts when deciding to buy this scooter or any other bike. I think it gives a bit of perspective on what to expect to pay in the future? Lemme know. Thanks for your effort on your channel 👍🏻😉
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 thank you for replying, I'm looking forward to getting a scooter, but I am trying to decide which one to get,at the moment I am looking at the Suzuki address or Honda vision both 110cc,I need to be able to have a simple bike which is easy to maintain as the price of servicing in England is very expensive after warranty is up,on average it can be between 50 and 80 pounds per hour for labor charges + they charge top prices for parts.ride safe.
Hi, fellow South African here. I was just wondering what the top speed is of this scooter and what would you say is the comfortable maximum speed one could travel at. Thanks.
Thank you for your review on this particular scooter. I am interested in purchasing one for commuting about 50 to 80km per day. Will this be sufficient?
Why not Johannesburg 😭... Would you recommend a honda elite 125cc or honda vision 110cc for doing deliveries bearing in mind they would be second hand at about R12 000?
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 Read the user manual... First service is at 500km oil change, cleaning the filter mesh, and gear oil change.. 3000km is oil change and spark plug inspection, 6000km is oil change, cleaning the mesh, gear oil change, new spark plug, new air filter and valve adjustment. 9000km is same as 3000 service. 12 000km is same as 6000km except CVT need new roller weights, drive belt. And maintainance goes all over again.. When you get the CHECK OIL indicator every 1000km it's just reminder to check the oil level and you can switch it off yourself. It's described in manual. No need to go to dealership every 1000km..
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 It sais 300km but dealers say 500 to break in the engine, after initial service that 1000km you said is the oil check. That indicator warns you just to check the oil level and will ask you to check the oil level every 1000km. You need to put your bike on main stand on level ground, check the oil level and reset your indicator...
Which model is this, the air-cooled or liquid cooled ? and is it 200cc , just recently saw a video with SYM JET 14 having a digital dash which looked really cool, check it out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eniJz8RnoRQ.html
@@vehiclemaintenanceandrepai3790 I really want to buy the jet 14 , but waiting for the Piaggio Medley S with digital dash again which looks really cool but would be coming to uk in 2020. Sym FNX looks great too. I dont know why theres so much hype about Honda PCX AND Yamaha's NMAX when you have SYM giving away 5yr warranty on its scooters which look way too stylish and yet you hardly find anyone purchasing SYM. Loved your video btw and yes looking forward how you get on with it, Cheers
great video and great scooter. i had the sym jet 14 125 cc AC in this colour, bought it in 2019 but sadly 4 years later it was stolen from my home by vile low life thieves, i got a phone call from the police the next day to say they have found my sym jet 14 but sadly it was set a light and destroyed by fire by the vile scum bags.. gonna buy another but this time i will be fixing an anchor to the ground and use a thick lock and chain, also gonna be an alram disk lock for the front disk. they won't be taking this scooter thats for sure. my only gripe when it comes to these scooters is that you can't turn off the head lights which i find a waste in day light, also its a pain in the ass having to sand down the exhaust and re paint or spray it every couple of months. would be so much better if the exhausts were stainless steel chrome.
