The Symasym 5-2 amplifier kit is very nice sounding, and looks great in my humble opinion. The components that come with the kit are used and the test results are objective. I am not selling this kit or have any affiliate links.
Hi Ox, its in the top two I've tested so far. Thought you might like this if you liked the TDA7294.. It's a stereo board, great specs for the money and the parts used were in the kit.

@Elecifun Not really sorted but thanks for checking. I reflowed all the solder joints, checked the circuits with a multimeter, isolated the transformers on rubber pads etc the crackle is less pronounced but still there. I tried to order new valves but couldn't find any for sale on this planet. I've learned to live with a minor crackle on warm-up lol.
@Sonic_Ox not sure if you tried cleaning the valve pins and socket. I built a long time ago a 12V tube headphone amp, not a kit, and I had scratching and crackling sounds when warming up if I very slighly moved the circuit. Granted I built it on prototype/socket board. I cleaned the pins and socket with Isopropyl alcohol which helped. I fear the socket board might have been at fault also.
Hey Dude! 👋🏻 🤔 200W ! Is this the most powerful amp you've built to date!? I assume it is but I don't know for sure. You've built a lot of amps ! The specs say .003 THD ? What do the tests reveal? I assume this amp puts out 200W RMS? It looks like you got 160W out of it. Does it need a bigger transformer? Maybe you need two transformers? Anyway most interesting video. See this is getting closer to what I want as a dream system. 🤔 I've already wish listed a 2x 1000W amp but I would not buy it unless I knew the quality was good still it might be interesting to build but then again maybe its smarter to just find the right amplifier - right off the bat? @decem_unosquattro9538 I'm waiting for parts for the RED power supply boards. Many hours testing and blowing out transistors to prove a point but the ffo pir merchants on ebay take forever to send out 5 TO-220 transistors. Still today they have not arrived 😠
@@Elecifun That probably has something to do with the Red Sea. The same appears to be happening here. I needed spark plugs and ordered them and they said tommorow. Well tommorow has come and gone. Monday? Who knows. I might as well have ordered them off ebay at a cheaper price. Sigh. It's not too bad getting stuff from China. The problem is when it arrives in Australia. They deliberately slow it down which makes me wild add immigration into the mix and you have a congestion nightmare. There are way too many immigrants in Australia now. Roads are congested with cars. Accidents, road rage has gotten a lot worse. Nothing makes me angrier than stupid policies and irresponsible, reckless decisions that the government makes. I feel your frustration. You feel like your life is draining away. Anyway hopefully you get it on Monday.
@@Elecifun Try to get ten things instead of one or two. Sometimes it does cosy that much more to get more sent. Instead of getting one or two items I have at times decided to get 10 or 20 items. I just keep adding to the cart to see how much more it costs. Depending on what it is it may only cost a little more. Instead one one amp think about getting two. China combines stuff together you know that already I guess. Anyway fingers crossed 🤞🏻
@@decem_unosquattro9538 I bought 5 of those Red power supply boards and they arrived with the kit bags split and components mixed together. Also there is a split in the main transport bag so I don't know what parts are missing until I build them all. I would like to express my feelings about this to the person who packed my order with my size 10 steel toe capped boots.
@@Elecifun Oh that sucks ! Yeah logistics in China is insane. I've seen mountains ranges of parcels of all different sizes on the ground in sorting warehouses. It's absolutely insane when you see how much stuff is getting sorted and thrown onto a conveyor belt. Half naked men rapidly sorting millions of packages and boxes. Search for them on youtube you'll see just how insane it really is. Always ask the seller to pack it well as many of them are tight asses and try to skimp of packaging which inevitably leads to damage of components and and or lost components. Fortunately I've always bitched about packaging and now it's better although not perfect. It's a good idea to buy lots of components if you can afford it. I bought thousands of resisters of different sizes. The same with transistors and other components that way if something is missing you have heaps of spare parts. I bought a bag of rectifiers which saved my bacon on more than one occasion. Just recently I burnt out another rectifier and fortunately I had three more of the same type. I bought a soft start to add to it and one day I'll add that to the circuit. hopefully that fixes the problem.

@@decem_unosquattro9538 The 0-30V 2mA-3A red boards. The ones with issues. The amp is a 10W per channel ( I only have one channel) 1969 T5 kit. To-3 transistor packages.
@@Elecifun Ohh okay the red Hiland boards. I'm with you now. 🤔 A 10W amp per channel amp. 1969 T5 kit. Okay. 🤔 That got those Bipolar transistors. Low power but low distortion I guess.
@@decem_unosquattro9538 Can say no crossover distortion. Just checking it out, kit was cheap. I am trying the hiland copies with better components as the power supply is a good addition to my bench. My Rigols use 24 watts each, powered on, no load. The Hiland copy uses about 6 watts, no load. Great for low power testing, zener diode tests, battery cell charging etc. ☺
