Mr. Goodkat : "Charlie Chaplin once entered a Charlie Chaplin look-alike contest in Monte Carlo and came in third; that's a story." (Bruce Willis in Lucky Number Slevin)
Everyone talking about Nick Cage, who I've been a fan of for forever, but ain't nobody talking about Joel Kinnaman and how good it is to see him paired up with Nick Cage. He was so good in Altered Carbon, and has been in a lot of other good shows and movies. Dude deserves some credit, he and Cage are both gonna knock this out of the park.
@@FunctionalJunkie_ I wouldn't say cancelled. They just literally ran out of material. Altered Carbon has only 3 books. The 1st season is book 1 (the book is way better btw, it goes a lot deeper) Season 2 ? eh... that's kind of a weird amalgamation of some events from book 2 and a thing from book 3 , but mostly is it's own thing. Book 3 just consists of people going crazy and slowly dying in a trench after a battle so that doesn't translate well to TV.
Unironically, I think Nic Cage is one of the best actors. He’s been in blockbusters for decades. He’s done artsy films. He’s had flops. He’s done low budget films. He seems like he’s always enjoying himself just being an actor. He’s not one of those egoistic, bloated pay scale marvel actors who yell and wave their hands infront of a green screen. He continuously stars in unique stories, and brings that classic Nic Cage passion every time. He’s a legend. A treat. An actor.
During the lockdown portion of the Pandemic, my roommate and I had a multi-bottle of wine night and a Nicolas Cage marathon. Moonstruck, The Rock, Con Air, Face/Off, Gone in 60 Seconds, Adaptation, National Treasure, Bad Lieutenant, Pig. He is one of the few true actors in the world. He can -- and has -- done it all. His characters all retain snippets of (what I assume is) his actual personality or crafted persona... but man, he could play a motorcycle headlight and make it compelling enough to watch.
Nicolas Cage has an incredible movie resume that's totally unmatched. From high budget to low budget, blockbusters to indies, all types of genres for decades. Guy's a legend.
You're delusional and truly need to lay off hentai as it's effecting your ability to determine good from bad. Cage is the worst actor in history and only has the ability to get work because of nepotism.
Can we all agree that Nicky is killing it? When all other actors typically ham it up and get cringe as they age or just fall off into commercials… This dude is changing it up and enjoying himself.
He's really exploded back into the mainstream of movies after the success of doing low budget indie movies now everyone's wanting to make a picture staring nick cage. Love this guy He's a genius 👏
Nic Cage was just born precious. His charm is effortless, his humor is on point, and his work ethic is unmatched. On top of everything, he continues to be one of the most unpretentious and humble actors out here in Hollywood - case in point he stays out of drama, doesn't court controversies, and just puts in the work and energy where it matters - on screen. This man had his priorities sorted from day one.
not sure how they could lie to themselves that badly, especially with the internet being a thing, any true fan of nic cage knows he has had plenty of controversies and issues, mostly just before this generation of kids time. but like i said, the internet being what it is, no excuse to not know this things before claiming the opposite
@@joshuamason8992 dude, I'm not Gen Z but in my 30s and well aware of his early work and days. Didn't say he's perfect or that he had zero controversies, but he keeps his head in the game for the most part. There's no lie in that. Anyway, not here to convince you this way or that, but I do not appreciate being taken out of context, pretty sure you don't either. You see, I could say for instance, that you come across as a "hater" who doesn't necessarily follow Nic Cage, and can't seem to understand why others like him (which is absolutely fine btw, you don't need to be part of any fan club). Or, I could also say you're lying/ignorant/immature, and just hate-watching these videos so you can troll others who actually like him, but I won't, you see 😉 I won't.
@@KH-go9fv lol, I wish, but no I'm a mere mortal from India 😂 But thanks, I'll take that as a compliment, even though I'm pretty sure it wasn't intended as one 😉 at least someone could mistake my writing for a PR team or Nic Cage himself 🤣🤣🤣 I'll take what I can get..
This has all the key qualities of a nic Cage movie: 1)All the dialogue is either whispered or screamed. 2) everything is either exploding or is on fire.
So fucking glad that Cage is getting the recognition he fucking deserve. In less than 5 years he gave classics like Mandy, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, Pig and Renfield. Cage is back baby!!!
nic cage is killing it, I expect him to become even more huge in the coming few years. He has been prolific for years but now he seems to be entering his second prime since he's been able to take proper movie roles again after Pig and it's gonna be nic cage all over the place. Same amount of films as when he was grinding to pay off debt, a hundred times the quality. I am stoked.
I remember watching Gone in 60 Seconds, National Treasure, Con Air and a few others. He was my favorite actor. I haven’t made the time to watch anything new yet, but I’m happy he’s making a comeback!
This was a great movie and dayum, the twist left you thinking deep. Action from near begining to end, wouldn't let up and gets you hooked to your edge of seat. If there wasn't a pause button, you'd be glued cause you could miss something huge in the movie. Nicholas cage really kicked ass the way he acted in this movie. Respect to him. Man's incredible with his acting abilities but then you wonder, "this may not be acting. This guy has wild sense of humour and he's really like that and just restraining himself in world." The script just let him do what he does best. Be himself. Humour with a twist. Awesome movie.
That's what Pauly shore said about Nick. When he's done making a film, he heads straight into another. Pauly is his neighbor, heard it on a podcast he was on.
Yeah because he's broke, he needs the money. He's an A-list actor that does these bargain bin movies, he gets the money they get the clout. All works out.
I can see why some are saying this (Collateral-EASILY one of my favorite films) But genuinely, when it comes to the meat & potatoes of this one-it’s truly *not* Collateral The ONLY “similarity” & it IS a “similarity” *not* a rip Antagonist has a victim drive Beyond that? Complete different scenario actually I get it, ofc I get it. But it’s really not
I've never really known much about Nicholas Cage so didn't have much of an opinion on him until I saw his portrayal of Dracula in Renfield. My jaw dropped. I had no idea he was so talented. One movie was all it took and I'm hooked. Can't wait to see all his work.
You had me at Nicolas Cage. Always willing to catch a movie with NC in it even if the plot doesn't appeal to me. You catch the flick anyway just to see his performance. The man is amazing
Cage has always been an A list actor but I cannot believe how EPIC he is in every single movie hes lead in the in the fast 5-10 years Not to mention he'a arguably the best sci-fi movie/thriller actor that is working RN....the AMOUNT of work he produces and perfects in very short time span is unreal!
Cage is the single worst actor in history. No one even comes close. He was literally born into film industry royalty and still made almost all terrible films throughout his career.
Nic Cage is one of the last remaining movie stars. People see movies just because he’s in it, because they know they’re getting a passionate show of of him.
Cage is knocking it out the park with his roles recently. His proformance in Renfield was amazing and this looks to be another great one. Cage always nails the "unhinged psycho" role. anyone else think he would make a fantastic Joker ?
Think we’ve got something even better-but def know what you mean Have you seen the trailer or even the CREEPY AS HELL 30 sec teasers for Long Legs??? If you haven’t-oh MAN, do yourself a solid a check it out-it is going to be utterly bleak & dread filled If you have-what you think? Excited? I’m as giddy as a kid b4 Christmas gifts for that movie to finally come (July 12)
A movie with Nicolas Cage is brilliant as it is, but combined with Joel Kinnaman this is gonna be Epic as heck! Watched him for the first Time in Altered Carbon and love to see him in more Roles.
Lol “I’m your family emergency now” TF is even that line , I was expecting Dom Torreto to pop out of the shadows from the window 🤣🤣 still looks like it’s worth a watch
Between this and Dream Scenario, Nic Cage is staring in two incredibly unique, fascinating conceptual movies in a single year. He’s an absolute legend of an actor. You can tell he enjoys putting on such a unique show. And he definitely is not taking the pay check of those bloated Marvel movie actors where they just quip cheesy one liners and wave their hands in front of a green screen.
We are living in an age of the Cage-enaissance. An era where he awakens the dead and releases the hounds of hell onto an unsuspecting audience. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Mr. Nicholas Cage's vision of hell.
Can I just pre-order every Nicolas Cage movie for the future and it just arrives at my home - his low budget indie films are in my opinion the BEST of his career!!
As much as i loved the bigger movies like Unbeatable weight, pig and Renfield, i think Cage is at his best when he is himself around relatively normal people. Its like that one guy trying to make you laugh while you do a serious presentation. You cannot hold back your laughter
Oh god, another movie where Nicolas Cage is completely insane & IM F&@KING HERE FOR IT! Let’s go, I grew up with this man, A National Treasure he is indeed ❤
