June, the mid-way mark of the year, also tends to mark the downbeat of the TSO’s coda to the season-and this final stretch to the 2023/24 season couldn’t end with a louder bang! The true joy of this month is seeing a beautiful coming together of a few musical trajectories through our season: from our CAMH collaboration that began last fall, to the gentle docking of our Masterworks series via the vessel of Mahler’s galactic Symphony No.3, to international collaborations through the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra and the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra. Believe it or not, that’s only the tip our summertime iceberg: Beck Family CEO Mark Williams and Music Director Gustavo Gimeno join our latest iteration of Symphony City to dissect the colourful details of this closing months, impressive highlights from the season that’s been, and how the momentum continues through to the 2024/25 season.
