Tornado of Souls is my favorite the riff’s lyrics and the epic guitar solo with a incredible climactic ending makes it a 10/10 for me and Megadeth’s best song !
Trust was my introduction to Megadeth, and still remains my favourite song of theirs. It was the first metal song I discovered on my own (had been brought up on things like Tool, System of a Down, Korn etc from dad), the overall melody and more ballady-kind-of song just really is the sound I dig and the solo just brings it all together.
Favorite Deth track ? Probably Wake Up Dead. To this day one of the the most interestingly structured Metal songs. Under 4 minutes with 40 riffs and grooves of all different kinds, yet still cohesive, flowing and urgent.
I cant pick a favorite megadeth song it's either tornado of souls, holy wars, hangar 18, peace sells or symphony of destruction. All extremely good songs

right now my fav Megadeth song is Symphony. I have just learned it and it is a blast to play, like you said. I am new to your channel but love watching players who know what they are doing. And are defibitely in that group. Great video!!

Sweating bullets. I know its everyones first megadeth song and is cliche to say. But it really is just the best. Its a hall of famer metal song imo. Top 10 of all time. It has one of the best guitar solos of all time, just simple and perfectly written, the sickest breakdown in standard tuning. Everything about the song is just so simple and perfect. I could go on and on. Why her hands bright red.
Lucretia is an absolutely beautiful solo!! If I recall correctly, Marty said at one point in time it's his favourite solo he created with Megadeth, but don't take my word for that.

I just listened to both covers from today and several years ago. Both amazing but I think the newer pink hair version may have nailed the solo a little better. Great job as usual Sophie.
That was awesome! "Symphony of Destruction" is just about my favorite song, but I put it In a different category than practically every other Megadeth song. This is possibly the only (and certainly the most) "radio-friendly" song and album they've ever done. But the "Rust In Peace" album was what initially got me interested in Megadeth. I would love to hear you cover "Holy Wars / The Punishment Due" or "Hangar 18" (LOVE that one). ROCK ON, SOPHIE! 🤟🤟

So many to choose from. MEGADETH!!! WHEN was a real killer for my forearm when I first learned it. Gotta say DISCONNECT is my favorite to play to this day. Very smooth song..
Choosing a favourite Megadeth tune is bloody hard because there's so many... Hook in Mouth, Take No Prisoners, Peace Sells, Ashes In Your Mouth, Endgame, Rust in Peace Polaris, Holy Wars and so on but... My favourite Megadeth track may very well be Good Mourning/Black Friday because it's just so deliciously evil. I find myself singing those lyrics to myself more times than I care to admit 😂

And you nailed all those quirky marty licks I am now going to go back and see how well (or not well) you played it 4 years ago Because when I tried that solo, I gave up guitar soon afterwards. Lead playing at least I wish to try it again and learn what you've learnt, hopefully in less than 4 years lol

All of em are my faves but right now its "Kill the King" but "High Speed Dirt" always works. This dude once threw a beer bottle at me when I went to audition for a band in the 80s. "Oh, Youve already replaced Me " He yelled at someone. im a big fan of all his work. Id have crapped my pants had I known this was the band that was starting to get played on the radio
Seen Megadeth in concert twice. Once on halloween in 1991 with Judas priest and trstament, and once ay "clash of the titans" with Slayer, Alice in chains, and Anthrax on Vancouver Canada. Good to see younger people that still got good taste on music!!! 😊

That’s the very first riff I learned to play on a guitar just that simple intro. my friend taught me in minutes then soloed over me playing was Awesome and for obvious reasons, my favorite Megadeth song and that whole album🎶🎶🎶🎶
As always, you make it look effortless to play that song. My wife's fave Megadeth song is hands down Sweating Bullets. Too many good songs for me to pick an all time fave, but Peace Sells, Gears of War, and Amerikhastan are in the top 5. Love the United Abominations album. It's Dave at his angriest as a lyricist. Although Dystopia is also a great album.
