Thanks, you've ruled this out as my problem. (Car starts cuts out after a few seconds even pressing down on the accelerator. Changed fuel filter, pump, no difference.)
Thank you for sharing, i believe this can be the problem to my car. Sometimes when i drive my car it turns off while being stopped. When I turn it back on it turns on without a problem. It does not happen everyday but it does happen often.
Follow-up: I soaked my IAC in carb cleaner, blew it out with compressed air, repeated, wiped the inside really well, re-installed and now my car starts up perfectly and runs like a top again!
@BellaRocko did it still run good after awhile ? I cleaned mine and it worked good for a bit but it stopped lol, I need to clean it thoroughly now I guess
@@Jruiz1611 Yes, it's still working. Interestingly, I actually ordered an aftermarket one for preventative maintenance, bur with this new one my car would start then immediately shut off. So I sent it back and put the old one back in and it's still running great right now. How strange is that.
@BellaRocko wow lol that's crazy, maybe a bad one ? Idk hopefully wasn't a wrong one either but atlwast the oem works. Btw for anyone else reading I'm going to change mine because I'm guessing mines just out now , but thank you for replying back I'm sure it'll probably help someone else wondering too
@@Jruiz1611 Some car manufacturers/models are very picky with some of their components especially electrical stuff. I've seen this happen several times where I'd replace with a cheap brand from local auto parts stores and would still get the same check engine light code, but then I'd get the part from the dealership and voila the car is happy again.
I have a 2000 toyota Avalon with a 3.0. At cold start it idles fine but after warming up it idles rough when you stop. Runs fine going down the road, I did discover 4 ignition coils with cracks on tubes and replaced them but with no results. Also change catalytic converter, cleaned MAF and throttle body but still runs the same.
Could this also be a Throttle Position Sensor. but to rule out the TPS would use scan tool to see the voltage on it or % . if that voltage on seems ok and not any sudden spikes or drops on voltage as the gas is pressed, if TPS seems ok then its the IAC or dirty THrottle body. NO Codes on scanner, like P0505 for instance
I have a 2011 GMC Sierra 1500 got a new engine in January and a new transmission in May after replacing transmission rpms drop falcate after truck is warmed up 30 min or so of driving. I seems to do it between 40-55mph.i can feel the truck hesitating when rpms are furcating betweeen1000 and 1500. I can give it gas and it will come out of it or i can let off then give it gas. But even if i let it get below 40 mph it will act up each time until i get to about 55mph. No Codes no heating up, I have taken it to the GM dealership they say transmission and motor are running like the should. Any idea
Hi I have issue with my 95 hardbody, idle low, step on the gas it drops like its not getting fuel ratio it needed, start up fine that's issues Am experiencing. What could be the issue ?
So I’m having an issue when the air conditioning is running, at a stop, traffic, stop light etc, it will surge up and down from 750-450. Ver noticeable. Could this be the issue? Haven’t stalled yet. It’s also odd it only does it when ac is on. Also tried cleaning it but no change.
my problem was somewhat similar. try to see if the car stalls when it’s warm by turning it off and immediately trying to turn it back on. BUT, since you said it is only with the AC on i’d look more for electrical problems such as battery/alternator etc.
@@nicholaskinard3746 appears it was the IAC. I swapped in one from my old car with double the mileage and all the issues seem to be gone. Debating on buying a new one or running the used part till it stops working
Made a video.. Could you look at it and let me know your thoughts... I've replaced the gas pump, camshaft position sensor, and throttle position sensor... Still having problems..
Ive got a 2010 mustang gt...its got a fairly new throttle body like 2yrs. But a couple of months ago it started idling up and Down. Could it be the IAC??🤔
it sure could. mine did this for a while but only caused faulty starts when the engine was warm but not when cold. unfortunately if it gets that bad then the problem is usually mechanical, i had to have mine replaced
I have a 2000 ford expedition just bought it it shuts off when I come to a stop but turn back on right away I need help !! Please also exhaust smells like gas
