SYMPTOMS OF A LEAKING FUEL INJECTOR
In this video we will explain the symptoms of a leaking fuel injector. Leaking fuel injector is very easy to fix by replacing the fuel injector or by cleaning the injectors but if you do not fix leaking fuel injector on time you may damage your engine. Leaking fuel injector will cause fuel to wash out the oil on the cylinder wall which can result in worn engine or even broken piston rings. In addition if you do not fix leaking fuel injector, the gasoline will make its way to the oil pan and it will dilute the oil which could be catastrophic for your engine. Leaking fuel injector could damage oxygen sensor and catalytic converts too so it is important that when you experience the symptoms of leaking fuel injector to fix it as soon as you can.

Guys. This was great guys. Probably helpful to alot of guys this one guys. Guys, i think i am having a problem with sealing the intake manifold to the cylinder. Atleast that is the only thing i have touched guys. I took it off to replace the o-rings and gasket for the injector. And guys,now i cannot get it started, I have tried different types of grease to perhaps improve the seal. But to no avail. Guys, i do not know any other guys to discuss this with,so i am just putting it out there to you guys. I have made an appointment with some guys at a workshop, so it probably will get fixed. Sure guys, i was hoping to fix it myself, as a wannabe motorcycle diy guy, but now guys, i am not capable anymore of imagining what can be wrong or how to fix it. It is a 125cc. big moped. Injector works guys. It gets fuel. There is spark. Motor turns guys, but will not ignite. Plug is a little bit wet, but not much. Guys, this is exremely frustrating. I so just want to ride you guys. Therefore the workshop appointment. But i still want to understand what could possibly be the problem guys. Any advice on how to proceed or any thoughts on what might be the problem would be highly appreceiated. Guys. Thanks.

Is itveaay to smell diesel 9n it ? I have my recent old oil maybe I could get it checked for contamination? I've had misfires etc well rough 8dje it's a 2.2 d skyactive cx5 I cleaned egr and map , map was very clogged Thanks

have a question. i smell gas when i start my 2000 durango v.7 with 230k miles. i smell it when it a cold start. i aslo have an EVAP code-(small leak). any ideas?

How would you get the gas out? I have a Acura RSX and I believe this is my issue.. got a missfire code and sometimes it's hard to start like it needs to build pressure.i changed the spark plugs and I just got some injectors. I hope this fixes my issue. No smoke just struggling idel.

please I need help !! my car audi a3 1,4tfsi does not work quietly at the first ignition !! the exhaust stinks of unburned gasoline. error reported by p2188 system too rich at idle bank 1. the oil level in the engine has increased slightly and stinks of gasoline.these explosions in the engine happen only when it is warm and at the first ignition. the car engine shakes while idle for 20-30 sec and then runs quietly. I am interested in whether the injectors are in question or hpfp. to note that the injectors are cleaned by ultrasound.THANKS

I have a big stress just today I took the fuel injector to clean mine is 2017 year Hyundai Elantra the fuel gas leaked all over intake cover inside and around I lost one rubber thingy around injector so I left for a day I'm not sure after cleaning the mess with piece of cloth around will it be safe to drive while gas fell around outside.

Can this cause overfueling at all ? And a engine code o2 sensor stuck running rich p2196 at all ? Changed my lambda and cat sensor plus map, maf. Fuel sensor etc still getting this code pop up :( cheers guys

My 2.3 engine starts with very high revolutions in the begining (Much more than normal when cold) then after about 30-45 seconds will ease down and it will start to stall, I pulled all the cables and spark plugs and one spark plug is wet in gas, I also can see the piston top wet through the hole, but the weirdest thing is that the Injector to that wet piston and spark plug makes the normal clicking sound when running. Is it possible that the injector stays open spraying continuosly even it clicks? And does it stay open and dripping after the engine is turned off and that is why the high start in the beggining Because of the combustion caused by excessive gas in that piston??

Yes it's absolutely possible that injector is leaking despite clicking when powered, and of course it still leaks even when the car's turned off, cos there's still pressure in the fuel line...

So I have been having a problem for a bit only on bank 2, I have new cats new o2 sensors, new plugs on that bank. Still high mv on O2 - Stumble at idle, If I pull my rail and pressure up the system will I see the leak, is there an easier way. My fuel pressure is perfect. I think its one of the injectors.

I have NON fouled out plugs (plugs look fine) BUT i have too much gas in oil... any ideas? engine runs good. Im wondering if it has a partially stuck open or sticky injector? My mechanic sprayed brake fluid thru all the injectors...still getting too much gas in oil

If your getting gas in your oil you more and likely have bad piston rings a leaking fuel injector will only make you run rich and occasionally misfire

@@gsc2866 engine has 10K miles on a total rebuild... runs great. I used the injectors from the old engine with 140 K on it. It does run a bit rich, old engine did too & it had too much gas in oil.

@@welcometoreality3450 that's odd I've never seen gas leak into oil unless the piston rings were bad now on a freshly rebuilt motor I've seen gas get into the oil in the first 1000 miles but I hear that's normal during break in. What kinda car and engine do you have ? And have your checked fuel pressure regulator maybe ?

@@welcometoreality3450 well I never had gas leak into my oil from a leaky injector should I say lol maybe you have more then one injector bad I had buddy one time his rings went bad gas mixed in oil ran rough for a while then it just stopped having compression and wouldnt start

The injectors in my engine where stuck in so I used penitrating oil and a blow torch plus slide hammer to remove them. The car is now blowing white some from the exhaust. Could I have damaged the injectors inside with the heat?

Yes plus oil lookes watery super thin and smells of gas too on a dipstick. ...its happening to my x5 02 now .cought it in time before it ruined my engine thank universe...now replacing injectors tomorow and hope it starts running like BEFORE and code rich gas bank 2 p1093 goes away

Can this cause a rich condition at idle? I'm getting negative 15 to 20 on both short and long term and once I accelerate it goes to negative 10 both short and long term. Thanks zero codes and Honda element.

@@CYRRYANC97 so I got the trims to go to negative 6 at idle and all I did was adjust the valves. Took off the valve cover and it was an easy job, they were tight. I still think I'm running richer than what I want. But it's a lot better.

@@paquesepas6696 huh, I did my timing chain a few months ago (400k civic) and adjusted my valves to spec and the issue continued. unless I went to tight but I was under the supervision of a mechanic so i doubt it.

I had a hard to start when warm problem on my 2006 Altima 2.5. turns after replacing multiple parts with no luck it was a leaky fuel injector.

Is it true that when the engine is cold the oil will settle at the bottom of the engine which will give you inaccurate oil level readings. Thanks for the video😁

You WANT to check your oil level when all the oil is settled! If you check your oil level right after you shut the engine off, the dipstick will show your oil being lower than it actually is because the oil is up inside the engine.

I would bet that's the problem. Probably where the injector fits into the rail. I'd get this fixed ASAP, it is a fire hazard.

Hello. I am not a mechanic, neither do i have much experience. But i am ionterested. So here goes. I think it is not likely. I cannot see how that would produce the smell of exhaust, but interesting to think on. They are two separate systems. Fuel-line and a/c. Nonetheless, the fuel needs to go through combustion for it to be exhaust I am not sure how the fresh-air intake functions, but this sounds to me like a small exhaust leakage in the engine compartment somewhere. Manifold or other connectionpoints. My guess.

I’m working on a 2015 Ford Explorer 3.7 engine and gas is entering the engine so after watching this video I will remove and clean spark plugs blow gas out and I will replace all injectors O rings hopefully this will take care of the fuel issue inside engine

I think I'm having this issue as well. Full blown mechanic like you all but this is an issue I haven't come across yet. Black smoke on startup Backfires like gunshots idling after startup High rpms that drop to nearly 300 or stall Severe misfire and loss of power Flooring equals white smoke from the tail pipes Brand new headgaskets, head bolts, coolant, oil Injectors tick as they should but my oil smells gassy. I think this may be my issue It only confused me because the care was running fine and then 20 mins later it's been doing this. Trying injectors tomorrow

so IF you don't smell any gasoline on the dipstick and the level of your oil is NOT going up over time, then is it safe to conclude you DONT have a leaky fuel injector?

no. it is not safe to say that. doing a fuel pressure test is something you need to do. rent tools at auto stores
