If you have BMW and what to know what are the symptoms of bad front drive shaft and how bad driveshaft can cause vibrations and noise on your BMW we will explain that in this video. We demonstrated the symptoms of bad front drive shaft on BMW 3 series with xdrive system but the video will apply to most BMW xdrive since they will have front drive shaft.

Omg this is exactly what’s happening to my car right now after I had a mechanic replace the steering rack control arms and sway bar links. Pound clunking noise from under car in my foot well while driving.

For my F10 535i i was having clunk vibrations in the middle arm rest console area when accelerating at slow to mid speeds. Nothing at higher speeds (driving on highways). I ended up replacing the whole drive shaft brand new with an upgraded version Dorman brand. It looks beefy and very well made since its made in the USA. About $600 for the brand new Dorman drive shaft plus $100 for both oem German made Flex discs (Guibo)! Now my beautiful Carbon Black Metallic Beemer runs like new!

Hi when I accelerate and release the gas pedal I hear a noise that sounds like metal banging together. Also as I shift into gear the same noise

I had the drive shaft fail the Oil drained. Out ? Is this normal or did the spinning shaft cause additional damage?

My 08 535I has a grumbling or vibrating sound when you push the accelerator. It doesn't matter if its feathering or wide open. It fills like the front of the car or under my feet. I thought it was misfiring at first but ran it with my scan tool and no codes or misfires. And ran it empty then filled ut up with premium gas like always and then added royal purple 3 point octane booster too and no change.

Driveshaft bearing, cheap part easy to replace. Not shown in this video! Its on the rear middle hidden above exhaust and heat shield

I'm getting a bad clunk when accelerating or aimetimws when breaking. There is a little Olay in the front driveahaft when turning. Is that normal? Rear driveshaft has been replaced.

I have this steady vibrations that are coming on when over 50 miles. They are steady , hard to describe as it's like a on- off feeling like it's pulsing and it's coming from the driver's foot well ? Any ideas what the would be ?

This is exactly what I have it’s a steady vibration all the time for me(has been happening for 3-4months now, getting worse) I can feel the vibration in my wheel a lot aswell. I have throw so much money repairing shit I thought it was like new tires, brakes n rotors, front control arms, front wheel bearings, multiple alignments, and had a shop do my center support bearing. None of this solved the issue. Should I just do front and rear driveshafts next? My car is 2015 328i xdrive. Edit: the vibration is all the time, but gets worse with more speed, and when I hit a bad bump it’s almost like i can feel something shaking for a second or two.

Will this also throw the abs, brake, and 4x4 dash lights? Also those lights are off when I begin to drive my car but then when I brake my brakes like stutter…I then get up to about 30mph and those 3 dash lights come on. Any help would be much appreciated!

Does that f30 in your video use a flex disc guibo at the driveshaft connection points on the ends?

i got a 2014 x5 35i and I feel vibrations and rough noise almost like a sports car and when I take off , instead of a smooths take off. drove my sons 2015 and it takes off nice and smooth .wonder if that mite be a drive shaft . it still in the warranty and they keep telling everything looks good but the car seems so lazy when it takes off , it s annoying. what do u think it mite be?

My vibrations go away when I let off the gas. When I unplug the transfer case and turn my 535xi into a rear wheel drive car the shake goes away.

Hey man my car is really shaking right now too and the front prop shaft is not in and my car is a bmw 328xi 07, how can I unplug my transfer case ?? Any tips would be helpful cheers brother

@@aimized1460 There were some heat shields covering mine. I just peeled them back and there was 2 wires connected to the transfer case. It's right in the center of the vehicle between the engine and the front seats. It throws 4x4 error lights.... traction control still works on the rears.

You can remove the front drive shaft in a all wheel drive. I had a 2007 328xi BMW and I removed the front drive shaft, just make sure you unplug your front two wheel speed sensors. It makes your car rear wheel drive and it gives you better gas mileage.

@@fischerfenner6577 I’m doing the same thing 328xi 07 no front prop shaft and I never unplugged any wheel sensors as I didn’t even know that’s a thing once in a while if I try to push it too hard Idrive screen I get a 4x4 warning “drive moderately” lol
