I have a strange one for you. I pulled my cover off today and the timing marks do not lineup a decent amount. Car starts up soon as you touch the key runs and idles perfect. Drives good to. Only reason I’m taking it apart is because it kind of sounds like it has rod knock but only when it’s warmed up which is weird. I’m going to replace the bearings with the engine in the car. That’s why I took the cover off. It’s very strange and this is a replacement engine. I got for it. As the original engine was no good. But on the old engine, the timing marks all lineup with the dots and the colored chain parts so I’m assuming that’s probably the right timing on the old engine. so I’m definitely going to get a all new timing kit now too. And since I have it this far apart, I might as well drop the pan and put in the bearings I got for it. I was thinking maybe the noise is actually coming from just the timing Chain. But I would hate to go through all that and change the chain and put it back together and it’s still makes the other noise. Description of the noise is it sounds kind of like rod knock, but it only does it when it gets warmed up and it’s very minor. I would just hate to put it all back together and then I have to take it apart again, only to do what I was going to do anyway. Any recommendations or if anyone’s ever seen anything like that please comment.

This means bad news for the car owner. Most owners will not have this job done because the repairs are beyond $2,400.00! DIY, then you are going to need more than that, like doing the water pump, front & rear crankshaft seals. FIY: not many videos will show replacing the rear crankshaft seals when do this or timing replacements. Heck, many don't even replace the front crankshaft seals.

Ciao. Bello il tuo vídeo, sono anche io un meccanico. In Italia questo motore (2.0 GDI 122kw) in Kia Sportage non esiste, io ho comprato una di importazione Germania. Volevo sapere se porta punterie idrauliche o meccaniche e dove posso comprare il kit catena distribuzione + catena pompa olio. Aiutatemi perfavore. Grazie

What's more likely? That is skips while accelerating from zero or shifting into neutral while coming off the freeway? Maybe the flywheel is too light then?
