I'm pretty at the start and my hacks so to say are making sure I exactly know what to do when coming home (having a plan), then eating something, going for a walk (so I don't fall asleep or get too tired when I finish eating) and then dive into the hustle. Most of the time it's making music, lastly it was more like getting the website done, everything for submission and the tracks I want to first submit. Very very often it's like when I'm 5 minutes INTO the work whatever it is, I'm happy doing it and be comfortable. Sometimes when the work is exactly before my eyes and I don't feel like to actually START, then I imagine what I will have and probably realisticly achieved in about 3 years from now IF I keep on working hard and producing useful tracks. And then I definitely know if I DON'T sit down and do this work which is in front of me, I won't get anything from all which I imagined and visualized in my head in terms of goals. So that's my personal trigger for like just doing the work because it's necessary. Good day to you all. :)

Blessings to you Jesse! I’ve been playing drums for 23 years, and producing for 15. Went to musicians institute for music performance back in 2012 and have ended up back home in Texas working sales jobs etc. I gig as a drummer but recently had a life changing experience watching yours, and two other channels that have completely shined light on what I could do with my music. I haven’t done anything with stuff I created and never knew what path to take until VERY recently SO THANK YOU. I’m 30 right now and I’m giving myself 5 years to amp up my catalogue, social media, and build relationships in this industry and get a placement- I feel whenever I do get a placement (even for that whopping $20 first one lol) I’ll truly know it’s possible. I’m being realistic, I have two kids and have struggled financially since as long as I can remember...but I truly feel I make very good somewhat unique (lol) music and I strapped in to this journey since two weeks ago. I’ve always felt my music could be heard on movies and tv etc- always thought it wasn’t “just for rappers/ BEATS” more so MUSIC. I’m pushing 2-3 new tracks a week and just shared my first on this brand new RU-vid account. I don’t want to ramble any longer actually my apologies- please keep up your educational videos- this is absolutely inspiring for getting my lifestyle and mentality lined up for success. Just wanted to thank you and express how this video (as well as most all of your others lol) is truly helping real musicians with real talent, real world debt and stress get through these first few humps to getting into the industry and legit know what path to take and REALISTICALLY move in that direction. I know it’s not going to be overnight, but it’ll happen- until then I’m making music everyday and educating myself with your videos, applying for a job job (currently driving rideshare and isn’t fully covering my bills and debts )so financial stress isn’t as high, and I can create more . Thank you Jesse.

I don't care about being rich. I love music and it will not be destroyed by business. Honestly, I'd be happy with part-time income-:) I think one of my biggest problem for me is writing songs to serve others, as I enjoy writing music for myself mostly but sometimes that mean it won't make money. The thing is I am very eclectic. I write different styles of music. But a voice inside me keeps saying why not try this even if I earned just part-time income, I'd consider it success. I think some other problems are being a master songwriter, mixer, mastering guy. I promised I will return to the syncacademy. I was there for a few months last year. Thanks again for advice Jesse-:)

Mental illness that leads to bouts of insomnia, a highly stressful job that I'm not suited for, and a wife that works third shift and is sleeping for 3 hours more after I get home each day.... all huge obstacles. By the time I get to write music I'm generally exhausted. All that being said... this is what I was made to do. I have been writing music every chance I get for over 20 years. I'm never going to stop. Persistence.

I'm moving in with a good friend in a bit over a month- he's a drummer, and I play a bunch of instruments and compose. We are going to work hard on licensing music, recording and writing together, and supporting one another when times are tougher. We are prepared to work hard, and I'm confident we can make it in this industry.

I have a day job that I managed to shift to part-time job in March so I work from 9 to 14 there everyday. Father of 2 and commited husband, I wake up at 5 and work my music for a couple of hours, then go to the gym. At 8 I wake my family up, make breakfast for them and at 9 I'm working until 14:00. Then I'd go to the studio and work my music from 14:30 to 19:30 aprox on a daily basis. Then go home, and it is family time. That is 7 hours of music every day. I also play live gigs once or twice a week, specially during the summer, so I give music a nice bunch of time every week. Looking forward to making music my full time occupation and submitting to sync edge and academy in september...already making two albums for a huge library (already writing, mixing and mastering a song per week and getting close to 2 songs per week) but willing to get deeper into the game... thanks for everything Jesse, hope to make it to SyncAcademy/Edge in September

Awesome, thanks for this. Want to join before long. Hard to imagine going full time with all my responsibilities, but I’d like to start some very early morning sessions before work. I’m thinking about some midi drums of some kind, never thought I would be into that, but baby is sleeping at that hour.

I'm in this boat! I finally got FL Studio and learning the software I truly believe I have my First song that will be good for tv just need to structure it. I be soooo tired lol. More mentally as I deal with numbers all day. But imma look at that time management vid. I'm switching pages too. To Jar-b Nice. For someone to have a full time job how many songs should be expected.each month. Esp when you are comfortable with the software

your experience ? so now that you made it a full time job. how is that working. how many hours a day do you work in sync music, do you have more time for family and friends? do you feel less stressed and easier to hit deadlines than while working a full time job?
@SyncMyMusic

Between my sync licensing gigs and my education business, I work anywhere from 6-12 hour days and I LOVE it. It honestly doesn't feel like work to me. Plenty of time for family/friends/socializing too. Plus, I'm building passive income so that when I retire I'll have residual royalties coming in for years into the future.

My problem is I only have 3 tracks. I do not have DAW or anything to record anymore nor do I have the money to get recording gear. I've been rejected allot by music libraries even though I do my research on if my music would fit with that library. I'm feeling very discouraged an have no clue what to do next. Any advice?
