The $50,000 Pyramid Aired May 22nd 1981. Day when Toni Rotano won $50,000 dollars in winner's circle yesterday with partner Soupy Sales.

Last series of DC Pyramid shows taped in NYC. Next year, moved to CBS and Hollywood.

The GSN version of the Pyramid in 2012 ran only 40 episodes(eight weeks). This ran for 95 episodes(19 weeks).

9:17, he said super tankers. Super can be a synonym with big. The judge missed it. On the $100,000 Pyramid version, He would gave gotten buzzed for that clue.

"Supertanker" is a specific type of ship that is large, which is why it was OK.

@@GeorgeMaster-xg7lg To be fair, the preposition rule didn't come until CBS, as they defined that as a description. However even in the CBS era, I think they would have allowed it, especially since they also allowed "UCLA" for the box "Colleges and Universities" because it is the specific name of what was in the box. I might have played it safe and said "Stanford" or "Cal", but that's just me.
