One of their best modules. Really captures the actual Rec. Have you ever thought about proposing the idea of a Synergy Kraken module to Martin Kidd? I reckon that would sell pretty well.
I think this is the perfect opportunity to go back to the IICP module, that you didn't "get" how to dial in for high gain, but never revisited. Since Boogie are back in Europe, it would be great to see your playing on that module. P.s the pushed clean sounds are to die for! Wish I could play like that with those tones!
Hey Rabea, on a different note, I just purchased all of your grinding gears volumes..absolutely amazing stuff. Your writing and playing is addictive and unique....I can't stop listening to it all...absolutely crushing tone on the heavy stuff. And that clean on the edge of breakup tone on "dulcet thing" and "then and now" is unbelievable. Then move on to "collateral damage".....wow what a massive piece of brute power and technical ability. I'm from the john petrucci, vai, satriani, randy Rhodes etc school of players, not that I can play like them but players who have etched there way into my DNA. I must say that you are now in that group for me..please keep up what you are doing, it's just flat out amazing!!!
My first tube amp was the rectoverb combo and this really takes me back. Great amp, looking forward to the rumored slo DLX module at somepoint hopefully.
Every time I listen to Bea play, I ask my kids not to kill each other and go pick up my guitar… The ability to inspire… That’s a powerful attribute to have. 🤘🏻
That is a rad module righter there. That Synergy module sounds as good as the Mesa Boogie Badlander amps when you have a good boost pedal with that Synergy module. I love how the module can help you save space, but I do like the look of some big amps. This could also help you save money instead of buying a big mesa amp if you don't want to spend the money for a big mesa amp. Your improv jamming is always so good.
Bea makes everything sound killer!! If brands are smart, they'll get stuff his way. Rivera really needs to send an amp to you for review. My Royale Recording is an absolutely monster riff machine that flies under the radar.
My only issue with Recto preamps is that the power amp has quite a big impact on the sound, which obviously you're missing out on running into a non Recto poweramp.
Ofcourse synergy is not modeling it is a real preamp with preamp tubes in it, it can’t be more real . But the syn1 like Rabea uses has no poweramp or poweramp emulation .
I have always wondered why someone didn't make a Dual Rec Reproduction with fixes or mods to the original recipe. I'm surprised Synergy was the first(?). At least they were the first I've seen.
You only need a tube screamer if you are running a Fender n need more bite. Beyond that, the Ibby TS is a shrieking disgrace of an OD. Volume is what tightens any Rectifier.
Ah yes, Nu metal. I remember those days. Didn't matter if you'd only just picked up a guitar, literally anyone could start a Nu metal band with drop-D power chords.
Lol the opening riff 😂 Linkin Park took me back to jamming that on my squier affinity with a JB jr into my little tiny Kustom SS cardboard amp :) Just needed some Godsmack. Thanks for the trip down memory lane haha
Just to clarify for me, you’re going Synergy > Interface > IR? So no power amp emulation? Sounds great! Just curious as would like a Mesa sound to play around with at home but don’t necessarily need a full blown amp head so this could be great for that if so
You might want to wait for the forthcoming Synergy SYN-20IR lunchbox head; it has an internal load for silent use, as does the current SYN-30, as well as an onboard IR host which takes its input from the power amp. I plan to sell my SYN-30 head to buy one, should cut about fifteen pounds of weight.
@@simonbrown1572 Yeah I got that bit but what I wanted to understand was that by turning the amp section off does that basically mean he’s using the cab section and no amp and therefore power amp emulation, so in reality just the Archetype cab which at that point is ultimately just an IR?
Bro i have been playing a long time, drums first instrument, guitar second . I totally dig your playing, it fucking rips. Someone that understands tone. cool
Dual Rec sounds different to a Mark. Mark are a more normal gain stage in front of a Fender sort of Deal. The Dual Rec has that lower resonant peak which results in that lower/flubbier harmonic structure.
I thought this shit was gonna be 300 bucks but it's 500 bucks+ 600 bucks for the Syn 1+ 1200 for their power amp LMAO 2k total... you can literally buy a used Recto for 1400 bucks online.
The point is you can buy the separate modules with all the different models they have and have basically that amp at a fraction of the cost. Buy the Diezel VH4 module and the power amp and you’re roughly a 3rd of the cost of that amp! If you have the synergy stuff already, a $400 module is much more affordable than a 2/3/4k amp.
@@jcmoore5819 it's worth it if you don't own any amps and you want to have a bunch of different sounds.... I already have a Plexi and some high gain amps so for me it's useless since I don't have any interest in getting ENGLs or Friedmans, maybe a Recto but like I said you can buy the real deal for less than 1500 dollars online.
The LP sounded superb, slightly less full on with less low mids, sort of breathed a bit better and would sit better in a mix, these are my thoughts. The module would sound great in a 3 piece to keep a mix nice and clear.
