Good tutorial how would you do cross modulation on a other synths like minilogue or electribe 2 as that's good for psych Trance what knobs would need using or effect apart from delay
@@waynesilverman3048 not sure how to answer this but if the synth has cross modulation just experiment with that control and you'll see what you can do
this is already one of those ones that is pricey because it was a must-have at its ”old” price. i wish behringer would rip off the old electribes already
Bought one in 2007, sold it from a fight i had woth dad so i can get a new apartment. Lost the apartment because the landlord was a douchebag and shut my heat off along with the second floor who actually didn't pay. Sold it for nothing. 13 years later, i have it again and it's here to stay
I sold all my separates. And am looking for an all in one unit. I think I just found it. I've heard amazing things about the KORG EM1X over the years. It's time to bring it into my world.
Very interesting demonstration of the modulation’s possibilities of the synth parts of the EMX :) Can you make experimental electronics with it? Then.. yes :)
Just scored one of these for $250. I have a Korg Volca Sample and Behringer TD3 and a korg sq64. Hopefully I can do some cool stuff. I think I got a good deal because the next ones I find are $500+.
It's a great deal! Just want to say if you ever have an issue , these have a faulty fuse so if it ever doesn't start it's actually a quick and easy fix for any electric repair shop :)
Here's a thought -- do you think it would be possible to get this gnarly as sound from an Electribe 2 using a tube preamp pedal, like the AMT F-Lead, or do you think that there is something inherent in the synth modeling that solely exist in the EMX-1?
I wouldn't suggest tube pedals. After doing some research on the topic im pretty sure the tubes where mostly in there for amplification. Elektron heat or big muff bass deluxe should be good for the purpose.
Great tutorial but I really wish I hadn't had to sell mine years ago, now I want another and they way more expensive than what I sold it for. I love my circuit but I miss the immediate hands on sound manipulation of the electribe.
These babies will only grow in value. Few years ago you could get it for pretty cheap. Now it is a small miracle if you can get a used one under 500 dollars. I got an EMX very recently and although I paid a sum that could get me a new Electribe 2, I couldnt be happier.
KnockCZ Actually I have bought one to a guy from my region for 340€, 500 seems a bit expensive XD I live in france maybe its easier to find in my country I don't know
@@RonCavagnaro Thanks so much . My daughter accidentally set Clock Midi to Ext. Everything OK again . Thank you again . Wish you and your family a happy new year.
can you motion sequence all that pulse width stuff ? thanks. i am so late. got a few electribes. the new red but never had an mx. built to last i am hoping
Yes you should be able to motion sequence it. My emx1 is still going and I use it a lot. The first month I got it, wouldn't work so I took it to an electrician shop and had them fix a fuse. These do have faulty fuses but after it's replaced zero problems
Do you know how chords in pcm-chords are laid out on keyboard? Page 40 of manual mentions maj, min, maj7, min7 (for ch-strgs for example) but still unsure how is it represented on the keyboard.
@@RonCavagnaro yeah, but what I don't understand is what are the chords under each button. For example if I press C when I have 1st octave selected it seems to be playing Cmaj. If I switch it to 2nd position with right arrow, it still sounds like Cmaj but an octave higher. Position 3 and 4 sounds like minor chords and I'm unsure about the rest.
Hi, I have a problem, both when I use the sequencer and when I record, when I press play the button flashes along with button 1 and nothing sounds, the sequencer does not move through the numbers either. Could you help me or someone help me?
Daniel Moreno there's a chord mode but it is monophonic if you are looking to do this you'd have to copy and paste to each synth line and perform the other keys
Ok, thank u very much. I have an other question. Can you sample some audio files in the emx-1? Or is it imposible? I read that the esx-1 was a synth/sampler, but I'd like to know if its possible in the emx-1. Thank you!
