RU-vid doesn't need another Microkorg video, but here we are. I picked one up mainly for the vocoder, which is pretty good. It's hard to believe these have been in production since 2002! I wanted one in high school, made fun of them in college (because everyone had one) and now...I've come full circle. The sound engine is derived from the MS-2000 and some of the presets are identical. It's fun to goof off with and, again, that vocoder isn't bad, considering how finicky some vintage ones can be. I'm aware that there seems to be some clipping/distortion in some parts and I think it may be the unit itself - there was no clipping on the way in, so who knows.
