The social aspect of wearing a wig is, well, a bit strange. I started wearing wigs about a month ago. Was in the garden the other day when one of my neighbours stopped to chat. My own hair is long but is getting very thin (age related - I'm 66) so I was wearing my blonde, short bob wig. She said she liked my hair to which I replied "It's a wig". She asked me why I was wearing a wig, so I told her. She then told me of a product she uses which thickens hair. Won't work when the problem is age/hormone related. In any case, I prefer wearing my wigs. Never have a bad hair day now and it's fun changing the styles. I started with one wig. Now I have 5 with another on my wish list. I got another one yesterday. It's similar in style to the one you're wearing - the long brown wig with the red through it. My one is black (not my colour as I've got very pale skin but I really like it) with blue and red through it. It's really very pretty. It's also my first lace front wig. Tomorrow I'm going to trim the lace. I was too busy to do it today. I think wigs are great and I wish I'd started wearing them years ago.

I wore alot of wigs when I was a teenager, now I'm back to wearing them again. I started 4 years ago. I like to match my wigs to my outfits

@@JesseMSimons I do have a question; one of my wigs is just below shoulder length and gets tangled easily. How can I keep it from doing that? It’s brand new and made by Henri Margu.

Your channel has been a Godsend for me! I’ve got a medium to largish spot of baldness by my left ear from radiation treatments and I’m still getting used to wearing wigs. I have the hardest time with gluing them down and cutting the lace. I’ve tried a wig grip, but it gives me headaches and I tend to sweat the glue off, or I’m just not putting it on right. The left side has no hair so it sticks better, but I have hair on the right side and I just can’t seem to get the glue to stick down. Any suggestions? BTW: two years in remission from stage 3b Merkel Cell Carcinoma. Go get naked for your skin checks at the dermatologist ladies!

Thank you so much for being here! What type of grip are you using? You might like a cap combo better.

I’ve been using a velvet wig grip. Sometimes it gives me headaches because I put it on pretty snug, but if I don’t then the whole thing just slides up the back of my head. Most likely it’s gonna end up being a practice or trial and error kind of deal. What really bugs me is the lace part by the ears, that part is always flapping in the wind. 😂 My head is small, so I’m wondering if that may be part of the issue. I have watched some your videos on how to make the wig smaller, just haven’t been able to do that yet.

@@mela4446 yeah you should definitely look into trimming the ear tabs that sounds like the issue you are having with your flaps. 😊

This question is going off of one you answered about getting a wig to stay down in the back. You said how you get a wig cap to stay down, but not the wig itself. I also I not have any hair/very short, like yours. I also have a small head to trying to get a wig to stay and not have big gaps from the clips can be extremely hard. Any tips?

Have you tried resizing the wigs a little to fit better sounds like you have some wigs that may be alittle to big on you. I also love my wig grip that way I can anchor that clip under it to secure it in the back.

I need to use a straightener to join my bangs together where they are parted. What temp number should I use on my straightener? It has numbers & doesnt show the temperature straightener

I would start out at the lowest setting and also spray the hair with some water or wig spray before you put it on there to help protect and “steam” the hair. Then just work your way up if you need to.
