OK this was almost the first power up! (to me, like starting a Brit-Rail Deltec Loco, first start in 30 years!) Most of the work was done between July - December 2014 There was a Christmas break and LSS leave and my first week back was Feburary15 and the demo. More a historic moment (no smoke like a Deltec Loco) and the demonstration was understandably no more than a few basic patches and the motor’s running! Hi Les, it's wonderful to see the Synthi up & running & located in a college(!) Do students have general access to it & has the college always owned it? I heard of a unit in cold storage (much further north) many years ago. I contemplated trying to purchase it but (if successful) it would have then owned me! I wonder where it is now..
Hi gs, in 2015/16 it has been just myself but this year 2017 includes MCM Interactive Composition students, IC staff and an international guest composer. Bigger an better things are in the planning stage!
It doesn't sound identical to using FM on my Prophet 12, but it has a similar sound. I love FX myself, and thought it sounded great. Like the sounds in 60s/70s sci fi movies.
