SynthPlex 2022: CEntrance Bouncer 10 Channel Mixer and Recorder

CEntrance were not onloy showing their new Bouncer - 10 Chanel summing mixer and Sd card recorder, but also Mixerface (compact USB audio interface and two new units - together they are calling it the English Channel - Soapbox - a preamp, compressor and de-esser and the BlackCab three channel parametric EQ. Together CEntrance say this it an extremely portable podcasting system - it can go all day on a low cost battery pack.
There is no other information on the CEntrance website about these two new units yet, but keep an eye on it for more details

Cool form factor but isn't the 1010music Bluebox more valuable in terms of features such as multitrack recording for the same price as the Bouncer? Black Cab and Soap Box look very very interesting, though! Would love to hear demos of those two in a more musical context.

@Synth Cat yeah on their forums that feature request for the Bluebox is the most popular topic. It seems to be hard to implement as the OS has been built from the ground up, so I assume they’d have to write class compliant libraries from the ground up as well.

I had the pleasure of experiencing this setup with Michael at Synthplex 2022. Simply put, it's a processing-chain-in-a-box and should be an obvious choice for the mobile, dawless and fuss-free producers. In other words-a dream come true. We've all been wanting a high-quality, durable, portable option that can get us past basic boxes like Helicons and racks-not just for vocals, but for full-on mobile productions. This is it. And for WAY less than a TE-6. I just ordered my "English Channel" from Centrance and am really looking forward to simplifying my vocal draft and podcasting chains.

Ok. I'm not sure what shamwow is? But I think you're being a little bit mean. It's strange to criticise a presenter who can present well when it's a difficult thing to do at trade shows, and we often see the opposite problem on this channel.

See this is really interesting, depending on $, I would get 3 for 30 analog in, synching might be an issue but I see this as a great alternative to DAW recording. Piques my interest for sure.

CEntrance here. Testing something. Would it be attractive if we offered a 3 for 2 deal, where if you bought 2 mixers the third one was free? Please comment! And by the way, three mixers would technically give you 26 channels total, as 2 channels per mixer would be taken up by daisy chaining.

It's a tricky audio setup. Omni is too much background noise. These cardioid headsets reject it all. But they are harder to place ( they do have pop filters btw). Hand held can't work unless we have an extra person in the crew.
