In this video, I will take a look at the Sustains 101 lesson.
I am an average guy living in the UK and who is now the wrong side of 50. From time to time, I look for a new challenge and this time it is to learn the electric guitar. This RU-vid channel will be used to share my journey with other interested people, offer some incentive for others taking on a challenge and to provide me with a video diary of my progress.

A word of advice going on what l have seen your in real need of going back to basics!.. that means starting from scratch first spend time learning and playing all the strings the first four frets up and down very slowly, then when you feel comfortable the next four frets and so on! It's great you have the Spark amp and Rocksmith but in my opinion your not ready yet to play either! It's your choice at the end of the day but if you want to progress please think about it Good Luck!☺

Thank you for your advice and it is bang on. At the moment I am spending about half an hour a day just working across the strings playing scales and working on stretching my fingers, playing basic chords and other basic things. The Spark amp is usually only played clean, so way, way under utilised and I hope to grow into it over time. I needed a new amp, it looked nice, people were raving about it and it has cost me nothing in the long run, so a win win for me, even if I never get into the tone engine. I have actually been taking lessons for a while now but I know that my progress is very slow and I have a lot of hurdles to overcome, physical issues and time being the two main things. This review of Rocksmith is more for people on my channel and other platforms who have been asking and asking me to do a very basic beginners view of the game. This is what I hope to get out of this initiative. Anyway, thanks for finding my channel and for taking the time to engage through your comment. It is very much appreciated and I look forward to talking online again very soon.
