I love "The U" and happy to see them doing well, but, their o-line concerns me and the fact they are hurt on the back end of that defense. For them to have only dressed four or five DBs and still get the dub is a great thing. Dino Babers and Syracuse got a good thing going. I hope they can continue to build off the season they're having

Dungy is the catalyst for Syracuse, but could hardly walk when Miami got through with him...have to remember, they beat clemson the game before.

this video has me convinced that this win was more to do with a little better coaching ( at times ) than the talent that we currently have. We're not there yet... will we get there ? well that remains to be seen..Malik is going to have to a better job of making the throws that should be made.

Our run offense and run defense is a joke at times. We don't get enough push on both sides. I also see to many twist and stunts on the DL which is getting our DL especially our DT trap blocked and out of position on these run plays. We can't keep stunting and twisting our D-line ever other play especially when it a obvious running down. We need to run more gaps rushes up front and trust the players to stop the run and get to the QB from their gaps and when it obvious passing downs then bust those stunts and twist. We gotta stop trying to play cute every play with these play calls and schemes at DL and LB. We played straight up man to man vs Syracuse and their "potent" passing game was non-existent. Our coaches have to do a better job of playing straight up and being exotic with our schemes and play calls on both sides. It should be a 65/35 Straight Up/Exotic split. It funny to me how our defense is to exotic and our offense is to straight up. Anyways, this team needs to be just a little more discipline defense especially against the run. We obvious want chaos but it has to be CONTROLLED chaos. There is a difference between being aggressive AND discipline and just being aggressive and being willy nilly. Being aggressive and disciplined is doing your JOB AGGRESSIVELY. Attacking your gap or assignment with aggression. Just being aggressive is just not doing your job and just chasing the ball all willy nilly leaving your assignment or gap exposed for a cutback run, QB keeper, or big yardage if it a play action and not SETTING THE EDGE/ CONTAINING THE OUTSIDE on zone reads, mesh points, outside runs, and read options as we seemingly don't do. The analogy of this team is like that kid who is pretty damn smart but if he applied himself more and did the little things better he would get a free full ride to college.
