Kurds are the majority in 5% of Syria. Now they control 20-30% of Syria, mostly areas with Arab majorities. They also control most of the oil & gas which will go straight to the US & Israel. Whenever the SAA tries attacking ISIS in eastern Syria, in their own country, the US launches air strikes. This is not democracy, this is fascism & the Arab majority in Syria will not stand for it. I hope the PKK have lots of caskets ready because something tells me they're going to need it.

The Kurds aren't Islamic, they are a modern secular people. Some of them are sunni, some shia, most of the ypg fighters are atheists. If they had their state, it wouldn't be an Islamic one.

With all due respect I have to differ with you on Kurds being totally different than central asians of the "stans" . From my research Iranians descended from central Asia and so did Kurds . From childhood we are bombarded with mostly white females in all sorts of media . The formative years are etched in us for life . culture and tradition is what defines beauty , behavior, and so on . I have become a modernist(not postmodernist) and while i am interested in various cultures My main concern is a material basis as the foundation for everything else . I am also for a more equitable distribution of the material wealth . so i guess you could call me a socialist , not an ideological socialist but an economic one who also believes a private sector must exist but it is high time it stopped being the dominating force . What people believe or do in private, what they think, or do with consenting adults, what they imbibe, etc just so they are not depriving others of life, liberty and property(small p for me) is there choice . So in private matters you could call me a libertarian although don't confuse that with libertine . i am not that now, but i wish i was more of that in my younger days, lol . The thing I cannot stand about my fellow dogmatic socialists is they stray away from the essential fair distribution of wealth and become more concerned with making people think and believe their dogma . That is why they drive so many people away from more economic socialism or a spreading or leveling of the distribution of wealth .
