This song reminds me of happier times, before y2k, before 911, before social media, before smart phones, before covid, before the world went mad.. everyone was happy and united on the dance floor, peace, love, unity, respect.
I was 18 when this came out. I miss those days. Trance, Eurodance, techno, all of it. Bring me back to those days. Everyone was happier. No social media nonsense.
keep it good in your memory.... the sad thing is those great times will never ever come again unfortunately but it they will exist in your head forever..... turn up the music, play it loud, close your eyes and dream into those great days 🥰
My older brother used to love this track and thanks to him I love trance. He passed away due to covid. I miss him a lot. When I play this track I can feel his spirit.
@@mrcls7040 try Thomas Michael Soundscapes from Melbourne. Or Sandra Collins Tranceport 3. The most fluid trance albums known to man. Its the best, if you like this give them a chance!
I am an old washed up dj from this era. I am 47 now and the melody of this tune has always been apart of me in some weird way or other. It just touches my damn soul and always will. Ferry my brother, this and many of your tunes and melodies from this time will always be so very unique, special and wonderful. Thanks Ferry!!

Ponce de leon discovered the foutain of youth...i discovered Trance back in 1993. 40 year old guy and feel like 19 everytime i listen to trance which is EVERYDAY :D
God he looks young in the video. God I was young back then. Hearing this you just want to go back in time, shake your past self and yell "FUCKING ENJOY YOURSELF! IT'S THE BEST TIME OF YOUR LIFE!!!"
No one commented or replied to this. They obviously didnt see you sneak this comment in :D It is refreshing to see a master comment and slum with the fans :D

WE NEED MORE TRANCE LIKE THISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
if Ferry Corsten presents Gouryella ever comes near you, GO SEE HIM. what he plays is exactly what trance in the 90's was, visuals and all. life changing really.
I was 4 days ago at Ultra festival where Gouryella was performing... the best one hour show I have ever experienced. It brought me back to the classic days, hard to explain the feeling...
Honestly, I'd rather not have the 90s trance scene back. Yes there are some truly amazing songs but modern Trance was still in its infancy and a lot of it was unpolished, and it just sounds very dated and cheesy now. Early to mid 2000s (with some late 2000s) is, IMO, where Trance went full steam ahead and really polished up its act. John '00' Flemming, Cern, Lemoan, 4-strings, Kenny Hayes, Rapha, Lisa Lashes, Lee Haslam, Rank1, Tidy Brothers, Oceanlab. So on and so forth. Hell, the 2000s gave up Babers Adagio for Strings (the not-shit version by Ferry Corset) and Saltwater. I'd rather have that than Goryella.
Things were always moving forward, getting better in the 90s. It was a great time in Western culture. The world took a dark turn in general in 2001 and we've never really recovered from that. Today's teenagers have a lot of horseshit to absorb, worst of all a global lack of hope for the future. Love this song and video, it's adult but innocent at the same time, very peaceful. Music like this becoming popular would make you believe a better world is possible.
I want to stay on the new ages and 2022 wow wow wow. this year is going to be so awesome and lovely and enjoyable the year 2022 is we're I will start my serior career and please I don't want go back to the old ages I want the new ages to stay and my future
I got this tune for free on a CD which came with Fast Car magazine, July 1999! God I listed to that CD so much, I'm surprised it still works! So many memories of crusing around in my car, blasting this out, driving to the clubs for nights out with my mates! Jesus, I wish I could go back for just one night to re-live it! Best time of my life! Last time I was at a club (Plus in Sheffield), the crown went absolutely mental when this came on!!! No other tune all night had the same response as this!!!
What are you talking about? This song got massively hated on by everyone I knew when it came out. Trance snobs at the time thought it was shit. It's all just changing aesthetics. Get that stick out your ass and party.
For starters, I said "Music like this." Basically all trance. Another thing, I don't know anyone who didn't like this song. Last thing, sir. I don't have a stick up my arse at all. I'm a lovely person, you don't know me at all and I like a rage of music from, trance, rock and to country. Oh, the whole "point" of my comment was that at least 90% of music today is shit, surely you agree? Thanks.
Evan Bennis I was 14 in 1998, pre-Napster. And I used to sit in on a Sunday night and listen to Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems on Radio 1 with a cassette tape at the ready, sometimes just recording the whole show. I might guess that *some trance snobs at the time might quote stuff like The Age Of Love - The Age Of Love, Humate - Love Stimulation, Sven Väth - L'Esperanza, Joe T Vanelli - Play With The Voice... There was a lot of genre crossovers in the trance/acid/techno scene and when the 'Gatecrasher generation' of uplifting trance dropped itself firmly on the map the vibe was brighter, less serious, it was a different direction altogether to the trance that had it's roots bound up in the original pioneers of house & rave. I thought BT - Flaming June and Art Of Trance - Madagascar were two trance records from around the same time as Out Of The Blue that blew me away. Mauro Picotto - Lizard was so fucking good too. Just so good. I ate up all the fucking trance I could bloody get. And I could talk the bollocks off a concrete cock about it all. Utterly useless information!!! I don't listen to it anymore (see my youtube channel) but I do still love the whole damn thing. If only I could put my memories to good use.
What you just said brings back memories. The only difference between us is that I lived in a small cow town (Stillwater) in Oklahoma, USA at that time. :) Music Unites!
Tremendos recuerdos de los 90 me trae esta canción. Recuerdo que lo usamos para un vídeo de inglés que nada que ver al tema, pero hemos pasado hermosos momentos.
Commenting cause everyone is talking about the good old days but just so you know im here cause I was at a techno festival and shazamed some songs and now Im here so techno/trance is very much alive
I was young then.... starting to feel old now but I'll never forget the joy of tunes like this. There may have been some artificial stimulus in those days....lots of love and hugs if you know what I mean? Those days have gone but the feelings haven't. I remember it all like yesterday. Good times.
Shit do I miss 1998 to 2004 clubbing days thank the dear lord that was my peak clubbing days , thank you I will never forget them beautiful absolutely beautiful x
I'm playing this song out loud now from my balcony in Gran Canaria overlooking the Atlantic.. Beautiful lockdown.. 🇳🇱 Groetjes van een vedwaalde Zaandammer 😉🍷🍾
When I was in Berlin that year we played or hummed this song non-stop, complete with the dance moves and duck-face. It never bored. Greatest Trance Song Ever!
90s to Early 2000s Europe had all sorts of dance genres that hit the charts and there where no shortage of choices in clubs ; eurodance/italodance, house/2stepgarage, trance/hardtrance, dnb/breaks, Techno/Prog, Hardcore/Happyhardcore. From London/Amsterdam to Ibiza/Marrakech.,There was a fair share of variety of mainstream/underground dance music to experience where nowdays come to think of it, its such a luxury to have. Those are the golden era, the pinnacle of true E.D.M. If only i had knew EDM would come to this current state, i would have spend more time and money to experience more of its culture that kids these days will never get. Seriously.. Crowdsurfing? Autoplay buttons? DRRROOOPS??? Its a shame this generation had to go through this and tarnished the name of EDM
Sorry john have to warn you but house and techno was invented by gay black men from Chicago and Detroit. Go back to listening to Wagner if you want your music to be racially pure.
@@bendosage3445 I have no reason to go into the racial bs, but what has house & techno to do with Trance though ? Nothing. Trance didn't derive from Chicago House nor Detroit Techno.
Ah 1998, the dreamcast launch, trance music almost everywhere, my parents planning their wedding, my mom planning to give life to me... those were the days...
I love this track. So many memories attached to it. I don’t know if it’s my favourite one, but it’s the most “trance” track ever for sure. if I woke up from a ten-year coma and as a first question I was asked "do you know trance music?" I would say "out of the blue".
This song (along with all the other classics from Ferry) gives me goosebumps every single time I listen to it. My god how great trance used to be. Nowadays "EDM" ain't got shit on classics like this one!
