As a basist and a drummer i find this helpful, but can you make a drumless version couse i wanna test my skills on a track i have been listening to for years
There's no way this guy is serious, there is no way the drums on the track actually get in the way of the song, unless your playing with a paint brush instead of sticks.
I still prefer Serj's "TRUUUUUSSST in my SELF-RIGHTEOUS SUICIDE i cry when ANGELS DESERVES TO DIE!" Alone tho, sounds more clean we can really hear the emotion and raspiness to his voice
I’ve been trying to learn how to sing lately, and in a strange way, this is extremely comforting to me. The whole time I’ve been really overthinking aspects of my vocals, but listening to this makes me realize that vocals are just a little awkward without the proper instrumentals, even with one of the greatest vocalists of all time like Serj. This video has taught me to not focus on that and just pay attention to the technical ability, and how much control I’m having over it, and that the rest will come out when I’m actually performing.
He's a real master. Where he makes the sound, how he can move it around those folds and alter pallete, add and pull grit while climbing through tones, notes and time signatures. It's hard to keep up with what he's doing audibly let alone mimic. He's a fucking genius. I'm sure of it. His politics, his art, his full expression. I unashamedly love the man and hope he is authentic to his presentation.
Well, I love the "complete version" but man, without the drums and bass I could hear better Serj's voice and noticed that is much more beautiful than I thought it was. Along with Ivan Moody, Chester, Manson, Hatfield Klaus Meine, André Leite, Guilherme de Sá and Mauro Henrique, he is my greatest influence.
I think I hear acoustic strums right before the end. I mean, not acoustic but it sounds like what you hear when you practice on a low volume. The actual sound of the strings over the distorted sound that comes from the cabinet.
