XATAN Agreed. I really wish i could have seen them perform but I'll never hold any ill will towards any of them if its over. Their music has gotten me through some of the roughest parts of my childhood and ill be forever grateful
"I personally don't think bands should exist forever... unless they are able to break those walls, and be able to present themselves differently." - Serj Tankian 2001 I understand what he means... but damn I'll miss them if their hiatus is permanent.
Deadeyes X Makes sense. Twas the peak of Islamaphobia here in the states and even though he isnt muslim most people cant tell the difference so im sure hes taken his fair share of unnecessary bullshit for simply being born of middle east decent. Thank fuck he's a brilliant mind and made something so positive of it all
@@AHammbone I mean, do you blame her lol? As fun as it was, imagine yourself in her shoes 😂. Imagine asking questions and a wasted guy just saying fellatio for 26 minutes and talking like a high person? Idk about to you but to me it felt a bit disrespectful and unnecessary(but that's just my opinion 🤷♂️)
Serj looks like a fucking badass. That hair and beard is just so fucking hot (i'm straight). Then there's his personality and his amazing lyrical songwriting skills. He is a deep, shy, complex human being when in an interview but a total badass, insane energetic frontman on stage. Truly and truly another better James Hetfield.
i had to watch an interview featuring SOAD just to make sure that these people are human. because it's hard to immagine these people in society when you just know them for their music videos and songs.
This is by far the realist interview of any band I’ve ever seen. It felt like I was in the room with them and having this conversation. That was a great interview
System separated to create new sounding art. I love the albums Serj has made, as well as the one Daron made. I love serjs newest album harakiri. It is a very honest album that discusses the damage we are doing to our planet, and our connection to the universe. We are not separate energy. We are the collective infinite creation. The creation that comes from our perception. Serj did a beautiful job expressing how we must wake up from the illusion of separation and realize the we are collective.
Interesting what Serj said about bands not staying together forever. And now he's the only one from the band today that isn't ready to make another record.
Omfg. Sound is sooo Off, but AMAZING Interview. ♥ System needs 2 get back together soo bad. Ugh. -.- I Miss them so bad!! =( Before I die, i wanna see them live, all of them 2gether. I bet a lot of people do. Their an Amazing Band. ♥ Ftw.
lol No, that was Daron saying his parents were 'Devil worshippers' XD a. Because the video is out of sync [the sound is ahead of the footage] and from lipreading.. I'm certain it was Daron who said it b. Its a classic Daron quote, you wouldnt catch John coming out with something like that lol Good video, I really enjoyed it XD 8:44 - 8:59 ~ I loled at Daron lookin' randomly about XD
i like how when the band is interviewed, more than half of the time ALL BAND MEMBERS say sumthin about it... its not just serj answerin and talkin thruout the interview, the others join and stand o their word... i think thats awsome... btw SOAD influences me lyrically..
@tansie4 not really i would say. their best song would better be "P.L.U.C.K.". it has a stronger riff and a stronger meaning . i recommend that for you. it's on their first albumn . i know you would like it.
Iam 64 yrs old and was touched by there lyrics. Get it ., at my age i listen to buddy holly ect . My advice to you never grow old in your mind. STAY FREE AND OPEN MINDED. PS YES MILITARY RETIRED. F LOL
@@ArkaeaFCL3 you didn't notice his face very slightly appear to morph? You can see especially near his left eyebrow. Dont pause, just hit the timestamp and let it play.
Serj already said in an interview that they are still friends and that if they want to talk to the world as SOAD, they will do, so a reunion is most likely... At least after Serj published his second album, and maybe there was a second SoB album
Anyone else feel that Serj has kind of grown more arrogant and condescending/smug than compared to this interview? He seems very off-balance and less like himself in newer and newer interviews compared to this one (not to sound arrogant myself, since I really have no idea who Serj really is).
kope2kope No i feel you. Success does that to a person. You can only be told you are a god so many times before you actually start to believe that shit
yes i saw them! and i talked to john n shavo! i asked john if theyl be playign together anytime soon he said everntually as soon as serj is done with hsi stuff
