F... me I absolutely love these 4 guys here, mate... I don't care if Serj sounds like freaking squidward for the rest of his career at concerts, or even if Shavo can't even play cause he's too high up on the shrooms... just watching them make an interview or do whatever the f... they do, I feel at peace. They knew how to be one of Top-3 or Top-5 Heavy Metal bands in the world at a certain point in time, and I will ever respect and love them just for that. Turkey still needs to answer for the Armenian genocide & make reparations for it. Until the West start to pressurise them into making an acceptable response, nothing will happen. The Turks have had 100 years to have done the right thing by themselves but clearly they have no intentions. The genocide was not an' accident of war', it was a systematic massacre of the Armenian people & it should not be allowed to be swept under the carpet of history.
Although there has been some International political pressure, Turkey has been very reluctant to make any positive statements or announce any significant measures to either recognise the genocide as such or make any steps towards making reparations. In public the Turkish govt. only appear to acknowledge the genocide when pressed to do so, whilst in private they generally continue to make noises towards continued denial. Unfortunately, Turkey's geographic significance as the gateway to Asia & the Crimea, continues to deter Western govts. from pursuing the issue with any real intent.
it's a complicated historical issue that requires serious conversation ..*both sides experienced casualties* ... there were around 2.5 million muslims in the region who were also casualties of war ... from what I've been researching as legitimately as I could .. .... these were just *casualties of war* with complex political nature behind it ...nothing more , nothing less ... ....
Yes, it is a complicated issue & I'm well aware it's still a sensitive issue which some Govts accept as fact & others still deny happened. Where I would disagree with you is in that the Ottoman Empire was an active participant in the War whilst, (although clearly there were activists who saw an opportunity to gain Independence & solicited help from Turkey's enemies), Armenia was not. Certain elements of the Turkish Govt. saw an opportunity to not only eliminate any threat by those activists but also to seize land & property. The estimated 1M+ Armenians who were then systematically displaced & killed were Civilians & therefore not as you claim, considered to be Casualties of War. However, I'm also aware many Turks strongly dispute these figures.
for the most part both sides quote biased authors of subjective historical literature ..which is just insufficient and inconclusive to any further discussion .. there r those who via contextualised information which may potentially be presented as facts come to certain out -of -zone conclusions .. it's all one vicious circle where this debate became dependant of international politics ..and just represents their interests and fluctuates accordingly ...and thus definitely does not portray the truth .. nor it will (even if one of the arguments gets more votes for it's legitimacy) .. genocide happened in Bosnia and is admitted as such by international court due to the substantial, unequivocal evidences .. in forms of the videos, audio files, witnesses and much more and even then it took 20 bloody years for court to make the decision ..
How come interviewers always seem totally ignorant about the band/people they interview and how to pronounce their names or social issues that they're all about?
Jesus, put out a new record already! I love these guys and their old albums are great, but C'mon! How many more times youre gonna tour on the old albums? It is time for God sake, how many more solo albums Serj is going to do before they spend just 1 month out of the year in the freaking studio and write new songs together?
I really doubt they will make another album im a big fan and I would love nothing more than a sixth album but to be honest with you if they make a new album it wouldn't be true system cuz Serj is in a way only focusing on his solo career you know I can imagine that behind doors the band had their arguments about this topic especially now since all four of them are getting older and have different views in life

Gitai Vinshtok Well, they've gotten older and such and don't have the pure energy they used to had. They also don't do nearly as many hard drugs as they used to do which was a large portion of their stage energy.
