I love the elevator example distinguishing i/p from o/p. It's an excellent example. Thank you. Imagine an elevator with a step o/p! That would be terrifying.

@@PunmasterSTPPermit me to answer on his behalf. I ended up leaving the class and I stopped attending his classes since I'm not the kind to sit through a lecture I don't understand. In the end, I passed the the course by a hair's breadth. When I resumed a new semester and discovered I still had to continue the course, I had to run to RU-vid and thank God I came across Neso Academy. This was my experience 😅

in your explanations, you have given the example of elevator and you are considering the output error while the elevator already reached to the fourth floor. It's wong and funny. it's actually the time when elevator start to move with steady state error. the transient response is just the time when starting of movement has initially instability. Kindly be cautious, ...

Why do we get error between actual response and desire response...I mean why do we get steady state error??

It depends upon the accuracy of the system. In real life, many disturbances and errors of subsystems occur. As a designer of the system, it is always desirable to keep steady state error minimum.
