I believe in Systema, it is one of the three arts I practice because it is effective in my opinion But I wanna see a martial art that has disarms and defenses for a realistic knife strike, no one is going to just do a long slash or a prolonged stab, they grab you and start crazily jabbing fast as hell over and over, seems no martial art ever acknowledges that and ive practiced a variety for a long time.,

+FiveTmanProductions I don't think its that they do not acknowledge as it is that there is no effective way to train for it. Martial arts are not teaching combat, martial arts teach combat principles which the particular style espouses, and the techniques and forms are all geared towards expressing those principles in the form that is easiest to digest. To teach novices how realistic knife attacks are done would give them experience in exchange for a weak understanding of the mechanics and principles of a style. But once these principles are grasped, the student would want to deepen his understanding on these principles more because they are what makes a defense or response effective, rather than the technique itself. Its a cycle that excludes learning how proper knife attacks go in exchange for a thorough understanding of physics and bio mechanical movements and effects. Martial arts focus on hammering the body mechanics into a student, its up to the student to discover the potential of the mechanics as it were.

Mikhail keeps it very simple and effective. But it seems to me that overall Vladimir is more skillful with/against a knife. This is of course non-expert opinion, Mikhail's work might not be as "simple" as it looks.

We reverse engineered many of Mikhail's (and Vladimir's) disarsm as well as those of other martial artists and came up with about 10 PRINCIPLES that allow anyone to train rapidly to START down this path. None of us are masters yet, but we can see the road. Search AustinCombatives on Facebook and read the posts on Principle Based Disarm CHAINS.

Some of of his techniques is good, but I see where he could get slash many times, sometimes the attacker is just giving his hand so to speak. Not totally perfect.

wtf is an an MMA "expert". dont you mean meathead. there isnt much technique in blood sport. just ticket sales and who can suffer the most pain. its laughable to even concider it any type of system or style. its goon shit and there splenty of youtube videos of mmas meatheads gettn domed by systema practictioners but i havent seen too many mma fighter stake down a systema practictioner. maybe 1 or 2 ..maybe.
