creates infinite colored mana and infinitely large creatures with Sanctum Weaver if you have 5+ enchantments and one additional colored mana

You cant do thay much against yuriko though. If you kill Urza or Kinnan, they cost more and more everyturn while Yuriko will always return to the field cheaply. So you need to kill the other creatures, but then you are wasting removal on worthless 1-2 drops and you need to draw more removal than the number of small creatures yuriko has drawn. Powerlevelwise in terms of effect Yuriko is much weaker than Kinnan or Urza but she has resilience only matched by Emminence commanders (and out of those only Inalla is good on cEDH).

Taylor is someone from my local meta and informed the table that my deck is constructed almost entirely towards untapping with a Sanctum Weaver or giving it haste immediately, and the fact that I would never just hang it out into play if I wasn’t ready to go off. Don’t forget communication is also a huge part of a commander game!

I was presenting the win with Sanctum Weaver up, Shaun was made aware by Taylor (someone in my normal local meta) that Sanctum Weaver cannot go left unchecked, especially in my list. Sometimes you just get got and they have what they need. New Boseiju is an amazing card.

Hi there! First off, the Sanctum Weaver cast trigger just wasn't announced. Second, the turn where I discarded the fetches was a very long one with lots of discussion. I had multiple other lands in my hand and entirely forgot to play out my Snow Plains. Misplays happen! Tough game with lots going on

Taylor is someone from my local meta and informed the pod that with Sanctum Weaver on board I am most likely to win the game on my next turn. He knows that it's the building point of the deck, I even have the Sanctum Weaver art tattooed on me, serious stuff. Unknowingly, I did have the win in my hand (I revealed the Gauntlets of Light after I was killed). Shaun's heads up play after the table's discussion was the right move, unfortunately for me. But that's magic! It was a great game :)

You don't find Yuriko boring? Literally the most boring commander

Are you saying that temporarily removing for Yuriko for a single turn with On Thin Ice would be a better play than removing the Seedborn Muse in a Thrasios deck??? Mike wasn't ignored. Our resources were just spent dealing with each other while Mike sculpted. He wasn't the biggest threat on board until Seedborn and Sanctum Weaver were removed. Objectively, Mike chipping away and slowly growing his board state was not amongst the table's biggest worries. The only way to beat Winota is to either deny them of their early game creatures so they do not accrue Winota activations/value, or constantly sweep the board (which is somewhat unrealistic). Seedborn Muse + Thrasios cannot be ignored, and I was presenting the win on my turn. Allowing Winota to get active to "deal with the Yuriko player" is not a valid strategy. The hate and momentum that deck brings is NOT ignorable. It's called Snowball for a reason.

If Yuriko was truly a problem it would win more. Its just obnoxious, like many decks.

I think that Yuriko is a deck that people hate on because of it's popularity and consistency. Yuriko is not a "bonkers busted deck". Half of the format doesnt care about losing 12 life, they'll just go way over your head. Yuriko is probably the cheapest and best gateway into cEDH. Although it is strong, it's at a good and healthy place in the meta. Creature based decks are becoming more and more popular. If Yuriko is a problem to you then maybe try something more midrange. If Yuriko "gets going" turns 1-4 and doesn't win, you should be casting enough creatures or relevant spells that losing the dribs and drabs of life doesn't matter.
