the fact that literally no after effects/CGI were used in the filming locations makes this hands down one of the most crazy and ethereal music videos out, just hawaii's eerily perfect scenery and some properly skilled cinematography.

I feel this song on a spiritual level.

Why did seeing her* mom on that cliff side make me tear up? Like, honoring your mother like that. It almost felt like seeing her there was seeing the deeper truth or deeper root to what she searched for.

Plot twist: Sza and Childish Gambino both eventually get killed in the ‘This is America’ scene, now they are in a beautiful place in heaven and have connected with one another on a spiritual and loving level.
