Szeged is the third largest city of Hungary, the largest city and regional center of the Southern Great Plain and the county seat of Csongrád county. The University of Szeged is one of the most distinguished universities in Hungary.
The famous Szeged Open Air (Theatre) Festival (first held in 1931) is one of the main attractions, held every summer and celebrated as the Day of the City on May 21.

Magyarország soha nem volt a Balkán része, még akkor sem, amikor a jugoszláv háburu menekültjeit fogadta be és támogatta. Cserébe megkaptuk a "kultúrájukat" és a balkáni viselkedésüket.

Greetings from Romania! Very nice city... with well-preserved old architecture! Unfortunately, our communist leaders during the regime have wiped out most the the historical buildings form our cities and built ugly communist buildings and blocks with no designs and predominant concrete! You had communism as well but the city centers look like having been rehabilitated and preserved as architectural and cultural heritage, like in most parts of Europe! I noticed this in Debreceen and Budapest as well.

Mi megőriztük az Osztrák Magyar Monarchia építészeti értékeit. Nem úgy mint Önök. Pl. Herkulesfürdőt és még hosszasan sorolhatnám a lepusztult fürdőhelyeiket.

Sadly, the current governments of Romania don't renovate the old Austro-Hungarian buildings in Transylvania. I have been there countless times and seen so many former sights in a rundown state.
