Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Jones - Who Plays in the 10 for ARNE SLOT'S Liverpool?

Personally I think getting the defensive unit more solid and cutting down on shots conceded is the priority. We’ve been bailed out by Alison too many times and if the forwards are not scoring then you get the Liverpool that finished the season.

My first choice for that role would be Elliot but there's a few choices,I'm excited to see how it all pans out

There are different types of #10s The goal scorer that can chip in with Assists Like Deli Ali and ones who create that chip in with goals like David Silva and Players who can equally do both Like Thomas muller & De Bruyne I think Gakpo & Szobo can be our Deli Ali and Mac10, Elliot Can be our David Silva.

Elliott is by far the best 10 option we have. Elliott has shown repeatedly that he has the touch, sharpness, technique & insight to see the pass or shot that's required, and he can do it quickly and with either foot. Szobo is a good player, but he lacks the finesse and passing intricacy of a good 10. Jones would def not have the goods - far too slow on releasing the ball for starters. Mac could do the job (he's good enough to do just about any role across the middle 5 in a 4231) but he's better laying a bit deeper and we need him more there too. Salah or Jota could do it, but Mo would be just a stop-gap/interim, whilst we need Jota in the Fwd positions and his availability record would also be a concern. The other candidate we have for the 10 is Carvalho, but he is still unproven in the Prem, and we can try him out there in cup games and maybe league games as a sub.

McAllister definitely for number 10, he's made for it , great in tight spaces , can make assists and shoot from outside the box.

Soot has his wide 2 tucked in allowing the overlap from your RB . He plays with wingbacks But the Salah role normally play edge of the 18 yrd box line heading back to the hallways line not the throw in line

Harvey Elliot for sure or macca

If Arne sticks with 4231, I can see the forward line being: Jota Gakpo - Mac/Elliot - Salah OR Nunez Szobo - Gakpo - Diaz Depending on the opposition tactics.

The player currently wearing the 10 shirt is the right man for the shirt.

Get Szoboszlai at free 8 role, give Harvey Elliott a number 10 role.

Szobo’s real position is no. 10. But definitely attacking mid RCAM or LCAM. Klopp used him as a CM and had to do too much of defending. Just check a game of Hungary or a Leipzig game and you won’t have the question like who should play there . Btw I don’t understand how you guys make your opinions about our players if you don’t do any research and watching them only in Liverpool games . Macca more a no 8 and Szobo is a classic no 10. Even his former coaches said that when he signed to LFC.

Elliot is great he needs to start games

I'd go Elliott. He's got a good pass on him and his strike technique is gorgeous. Szobo I don't know where to go with him because he stared off so good but it turned into him not having a good season. But it is his first season so I'll watch him in the Euros and see how he does. Maca is best as a Rcm. Good strike techniques, Good feet, Not scared to go into challenges His vision to play in Lucho or Darwin is perfect.

Szobo first choice, then Elliott, Carvalho should be given at least a chance to impress there, these guys cant really play in a double pivot so thats where they should be focused, obviously the likes of Macca and Grav can go there too if needed

Not a even a mention about Jota. I know he is our best poacher, but his ability to carry the ball and link the play reminds be of Firmino, only that Jota would score regardless than his position. But having him in that role would activate Darwin, as Jota can create those spaces for him to run towards the goal. And don't forget Jota's capacity to recover the ball, and the fact in this supposedly slightly changed system, when we defend, the first two to press are the 9 and 10. Jota recovers and releases Darwin, perfect combination.

Szoboszlai can do the 10 all day every day.

maccca 10 - hes krooslike in his passing and awareness - dont waste this talent put 2 proper midfielders around him - we need an upgraded dm aswell - endo has done a great job for 16 million but need to buy a quality player to pivot with macca -dom and gravenberch need big seasons

Szobo is a silky player He is a 10 for me

The favourite for that position would be mac, but harvey and curtis have a decent shout at it, I dont see how szobo fits there, he would be better suited in a defensive cm position, who goes box too box
