One of the greatest moments in my life was driving a rental car through the narrow country roads in the Irish countryside when this came on. Always loved old crow, but listening to this while downshifting through the curves in a VW Polo was something else
That's my second class teacher in the group of girls in the middle She moved to Canada now and I miss her so much😭 I remember she showed the whole class this video
The lead singer has the sweetest voice. It's a beautiful rendition with the joy and generosity of young, talented musicians combining to produce something unique..............and what a great way to learn a language.
This is beautiful! I was born in Ireland but moved to NYC when I was a baby. My dad speaks Irish, but I never learned. I'm going to teach myself (with your help)!! I subscribed to this channel. Keep the gorgeous music coming! amazing talent here.
Thanks guys for a beautiful song especially in gaeilge its good to keep the Irish alive it makes people really proud to be Irish and other people want to be Irish fantastic we have Irish dancing Irish music and beautiful Irish songs including this one please sing for Irish songs :-)
I remember in middle school i did this song (in irish) for a talent show. I remember all the girls (including me) were wearing pink sparkly cowgirl hats, and the boys were wearing just normal tan coloured cowboy hats. We did alot of nice moves. I honestly never knew this song existed since the talent show, before we preformed i didnt know the song name, so i asked my friend and she said "The Wagon Wheel in Irish" and ever since, this song has been my favourite song. A moment with my friends i won't ever forget. I am so happy to be Irish. Fact: i wanted to be Canadian or American for years because that's where all the cool youtubers live/from are. I realised, i am extremely proud to be Irish. 🇨🇮💕🥺
I listened to this today at work in English. I work in North Carolina, so Country & Western is very popular where I'm at. Reminds me of times long past.
Oh man, this is fantastic my Irish brothers and sisters. I've heard this song many times here in the States in English, but it is nice to hear it in the language of my grandparents. Don't lose your language guys, It's part of what makes you Irish.
I love this so much! I am a 4th gen Irish & Mexican American. Only in the USA will you get a mutt like me LOL. Keep it up guys. I can't wait to show my boy when he is older and maybe he can learn it.

This brings back memories of my stay one summer in An Cheathrú Rua in the Connemara Gaeltacht many years ago where I (awkwardly) kissed my first girl. It is a rite of passage for many Irish teenagers. It is one that my own kids have experienced and I hope my grandchildren do also one day.
I did it in school and if you haven't found it yet look up Seo é na chéile I think that's what it's called its really easy to learn and the beat has a good rythym +the cup song is amazing
Tá sé seo uamhnach! This is great for chasing away the blues - they had such a great time making it. My vote goes to the girl with the trumpet who really seems to having a blast. Also love seeing when people miss their cues ... ha, ha! Fantastic video, guys!!
Slainté everybody! And congrats to you all, guys! You are so talented! Loved the Video and the others that you made! I try to sing along sometimes, don't know to which results! God bless you and God bless you! Hello from an Italian fan of Irish music and wannabe Irish dancer!
