Come with me as I got the chance to fly a North American T-28C and a Full-motion Level D B 737-800 simulator in the same weekend! This was a fantastic experience that I'm glad I was able to take advantage of, thanks to my Uncle John.
His first trainer in Naval Flight School was the T-28 and jumped at the chance to get one for himself after full careers as a Naval aviator and Delta Captain. He also is a Sim instructor for the B 737-800 and arranged for me to spend a couple of hours in the same spaces that prepare airline pilots for the real thing.

F-18 sim at El Toro MCAS mid-90's after getting my PPL at the flying club there, through the Civil Air Patrol. It was on a boom in a planetarium with full 360 projection. Settings were no crash and unlimited fuel. Got in "a knife fight in a telephone booth" with the instructor. 20-minutes of sweat, I finally got shot. It was fun flying under the water and Del Coronado bridge, and under the city of San Diego, to pop out and shoot enemy planes.

Yes. United Airlines B747-800 sim at Stapleton CO during my military exchange with the USAF. Plus F/A-18C, Aermacchi MB326, BAC-111 and Caribou (all RAAF aircraft). Great video.

Unusual to see a green overlay on the "C" model. Gold. Wings. Rule! (I flew these puppies as a flt. instructor at Milton, FL decades ago. A fun a/c.)

I'd say it was quite impressive how you landed the 737. Quite an accomplishment for a private pilot! The sink rate seemed a bit too fast... and your flare was a bit late. But it appears that you settled her down quite comfortably. Good job!
