Treachery! Lou’s mum sold his beloved roller skates at the garage sale. A series of strange and revealing encounters begin when he inevitably goes looking for them in the buzzing crowd.

This was great. A story about growing up told through the various ways we hold onto objects. Each character had a different relationship to their stuff. The on man purley wanted to sell stuff, the blonde boy horded stuff, the girl out grew stuff, and the old man could no long use stuff

Another way to think of it is that the boy lost something, and throughout his journey to get it back, he obtained a lot more than he had at the beginning. He lost his rollerskates but gained a cool jacket, a walkie talkie, new music, a cool skateboard, and several new friends.

The animation's style and composition are groundbreaking because I haven't seen so many elements working so well on 1 screen. It was amazing to see how he moved from 1 environment to another. It was a fun journey to watch. I'm definitely going to study it from time to time.

This is so adorable!! I love all the gobelin’s films so far this year! I mean, every year they are so amazing, but I kinda got nervous to watch them because of how depressing and dark some of them can be, which is alright. But this year I think b/c the real world has been enough of that, I’m glad it seems most these students chose to make something happy for this year :’) I adore this art style, and the story has everything. I love that moral where it comes full circle. Being able to let go of the old items you treasured but can’t/don’t use anymore, to be given new life from someone else.

I loved practically EVERYTHING about this! The fun and colorful art style, how incredibly animated it is, how incredible the animation itself is, the voice acting, and how all the characters are so full of life. That rock song reminds me of the early 2000's, good times.... This is something absolutely meant for rainy days!

And with that one simple act of kindess, that girl changed this boy's life FOREVER on that day! 😊 I wonder if she realizes just how much she has helped shape him into the man he's going to become...Its really amazing how little things like that during our formative years can have such a MASSIVE impact on our lives. That's why they're called our formative years, after all! But seriously, even the most teeny tiny, seemingly innocuous stuff that happens to us at that age can have a major impact on who we become, but rarely do we ever realize it at the time - both when we're the kid who's life is being changed forever, and when we're the person who's changing a kid's life forever! 🙂

I always come back to this short film. My whole family is sick and tired of hearing the same dialogue and seeing me watch it at least four times a month, lol. But as an artist, it gives me so much inspiration! The storytelling and art style work so well together that it makes me want to create something as good as this someday. Being part of this project must have been amazing! Shout out to this amazing team :)

Love this short! 😍 All the characters had unique, likable personalities, especially the little protagonist 🥰 The whole film was full of good vibes, the song was awesome💕 and overall it was another Gobelins masterpiece!

Ce court est réellement le meilleur de la chaine et de très loin, il mérite 100 fois plus de vue ! Les idées, l'ambiance visuelle et sonore, le style, tout est incroyable, je l'ai vu au moins 10 fois je ne m'en lasse pas! Franchement quand je vois d'autres courts sur la chaine qui sont bien moins animés et sympa que ça et qui sont à 500k vue, incompréhensible ! (J'adore le "et dans mon studio... Yaura pas - de - place !" Haha)
