Awesome job man. I'm building the same kit as well on my channel. But I've been lagging for months - finally got some time and motivation and I'm hoping to finish it off by spring!
I know man I was watching when you first started then you moved. You gotta get back on it! I'm getting pretty close though....a few more major things here and there but the knick knack stuff will get you.
Absolutely. This weekend I cut/buffed the paint so that's pretty much done. But before I can install the body I need to run my brake lines. That will be this week's project!
@@redgoatgarage got any estimate on when your going to be done. I'm trying to speed through this so it's ready and capable for the power tour. Going to attempt the full event in the T Bucket. Be cool to have another bucket tag along
@@GearHeadzGarageUSA My brother is going to come visit me in late February - I'm hoping to be able to pick him up from the airport in it. If I can focus and keep the motivation going then that shouldn't be too hard of a goal. I will most likely be on Power Tour this coming year but I'll be driving my Caddy lol
Looking like a T-bucket now. I'm wondering if you could stiffen up the seats with a cable/turnbuckle set up on the sides of each seat. Where you could tighten it. Or an all thread?
I know you don't want to but you should really consider blocking the body. It'll stiffen it up an give you something to tie the seat into better. California custom rods/ roadsters has paper work on how to do the seat frame and framing. Scrap wood and a few tunes of thickso epoxy and a can of body filler and your right as rain.😊
So I do have the seats out, and still doing that whole thinking man pose ... Are you talking about blocking up the edges right around the back? Like if you were to do an interior upholstery?
Yes, sir it should be in your t bucket manual, you could consider doing the seat frame too and then mounting the seats to that . Stiffens the body and would probably allow you to use more bolts to mount the seats. I believe it's a 2x4 base with a piece of plywood on top.
So I picked up a few seat frames since the last drop ... nothing is really working out with those bomber seats. They look fine on the formed ones but these ones are a headache
