You can actually change the dial to oil filtration straight away, no need to wait for it to cool. The valve will not open and allow the oil to drain into the container until it has cooled sufficiently. 🙂
@@E_mailMeLater I have this fryer and have used it so many times and always switch it to automatic oil filtration right after frying. It never drains until the oil has cooled down enough to allow the valve to open.
@@NumaticVacuum I think I will buy it. That is a excellent feature then. I saw a review that said the oil melted the container because they didn't wait before flipping the switch. Thank you for the information.
Dang, $72.09? I was considering it, also on Amazon. As of today (5/5/2022) they're asking $152.09, more than twice as much. Possibly, you didn't buy model FR8000.
when i read your message, i jumped out of bed WOKE MELLISA UP, then ran downstairs to the kitchen and maade sure it was ,AND TO MAKE SURE 100% i looked at my amazon account,, YESSH IT IS!!!!!!!!!! and $152 oooouuuccch!!!
I just purchased this deep fryer the other day since watching a few reviews and loved the simplicity of the design and functions. I can't wait to use it with butterfly shrimp or chicken wings...great review btw.
I just purchased this used on eBay so I’ve been watching a lot of videos. I really enjoy your videos. They gave a lot of information but the one video I did watch said that you can put it on automatic filtration right after you’re done cooking while it’s still hot but the valve will not open to filter the oil until it actually cools down, do you know this to be true thank you
@@E_mailMeLater Yep, here's my review. 15 minutes to get up to 375. Temp came back quickly after adding chicken nuggets. No problem with being too shallow for that. Waited for oil to cool then drained into reservoir. Very nice feature. Going to do a huge batch of chicken nuggets for the freezer today. I got a good price so I bought a 2-year warranty through Wal-Mart. So as long as it's not defective I give it an "A-." The minus is because the cord is WAY shorter than it needs to be.
do you have a stove or oven with a vent fan? Just put in there when you use it if you aren't cooking other things at same time and use that fan built into your home.
