T.J. Oshie worked with the Washington Capitals and Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic to make cancer survivor Brock's wish come true during the NHL's Hockey Fights Cancer Month. #ALLCAPS #CapsFightCancer
I love oshie he's got such a big heart for the make a wish kids and families and for special needs kids and families I love the whole Washington capitals organization they have been my favorite team since 1998
As a caps fan I was excited to get Oshie, now I can't imagine the Capitals without him. I was always a fan of the man. And silly superstition , I play online NHL and my favorite team is of course Washington. But I can't use them because of some stupid if I lose with them they'll lose for real ... I know, it's retarded. But my online team had always been St Louis. So I'm happy they won the cup if Washington didn't. Although I do wish Elliot was in net and Backes was still with the team. Washington is going to go thru the same problem with Holtby this year. Problem is were sitting on top of the league in standings so do we trade him for value or ride him till the end in hopes of another cup but get nothing for him as a free agent?? Sucks that players can't choose to take less then their worth for the betterment of the team. NHLPA will surely put pressure on him to take a pay raise and leave to ensure that others get what their worth. It's a business, but as a fan it just sucks. Who do you think Oshie will retire with.. or as?? A blue or a capital... I know wherever Holtby ends up, he will come back and retire as a capital.
I feel u bro I was bummed to see him leave here too but in the long run it worked out better for both the blues and Oshie . He got a better role and started getting more points he struggles here towards the end and he won a cup and we completely rebuilt and won us a cup so it sucked watching him go because he was a fan favorite I still have his jersey till this day the 3rd jersey with the arch on it lol
Brock is such a charismatic, well-spoken, poised, gracious, and handsome young man. Fits right in with the Caps! I'm betting we see him on NHL ice a few yrs - playing, coaching, managing, PR, commentator, ref - none of it would surprise me. Loved this so much. Cheers.
I love this organization and how involved they are with stuff like this. Oshie is a total beauty for how in the mix he was with this too. Great video, love to see it.
The NHL is full of these awesome stories from all the teams and their players. As a caps fan who has been with them from the beginning just want to say I'm proud of all you do and proud to be a hockey fan.
I live in Russia, I am 60 years old. Washington Capitals is my favorite team. I am heartily glad for the guy who was visiting the team and I would really like to be in this guy’s place.
we don't want you as a fan in Washington DC. You people have made yourselves our enemy. Way to go back to the bad old days russkies. You aren't really welcome here.
These gentlemen that play this sport are the hardest working and the most kindest people. This is why I am a hockey fan. Every organization does so much for people in need. God bless you guys and team owners.
Good on you T.J. I've been a huge fan of yours since minors. I am part Native heritage as well, and love your playing style and how you give back to the community. I was so stoked for you guys to win the cup. Kings fan at heart, but Caps are by far next on the list. Good luck boys!!
Islanders Fan here......Caps are just a class act organization....Oshie is a special man, he made that boys dream come true. Hockey players are by far the best professional athletes! Thanks Oshie for what you do.......class act!
Hockey players are awesome. Habs fan here but what Oshie did for Brock was amazing. Brock will remember this for the rest of his life. Hopefully Brock will remain cancer free for the rest of his life and enjoy life.
I'm so proud to be a Cap's fan . TJ Oshie and the Cap's are such a good player's with good heart's . Good luck in your fight Brock . All the best for you and your family ... GO CAP'S GO ...
It's nice to see the NHL Make A Wish videos. The players are from all over the hockey world, & are always gracious to the Boy / Girl who come to visit...👍👍👍
Flyers fan here. This kinda stuff is what I love about hockey outside of just the game. You see similar things in other sports but never to this degree. Just further proves that hockey players are some of the most amazing human beings.
THANK YOU BROCK FOR MAKING A HOCKEY WISH! BECAUSE OF YOU MY LOVE OF ICE HOCKEY GETS STRONGER AND STRONGER! ANOTHER ICE HOCKEY MAKE-A-WISH VIDEO TO ADD TO MY EVER GROWING COLLECTION!
I've ALWAYS loved Oshie . As a human being, they don't come any better. And Warroad Minnesota should be proud to say this is Hockeytown USA, home of T.J. Oshie.
I “bleed blue” and really wish Oshie had been with us for our Cup victory. 1 year later I watched Laila Anderson enjoy the victory the Blues. When the team “wins it big” the M.A.W. kids and kids like them get the spotlight too! I love my team and the game, but these youngsters not knowing if tomorrow will come... I LOVE them! I wish I was Oshie, or Ryan O’Reilly, or any of the “big dogs” just so I could give them a big ol’ bear hug!
A Warroad guy. My daughter skates with his STL Blues and Team USA jerseys for her practices. We were supposed to get to Warroad this season for a tournament but had to stay back because she got Covid. There will be another time.
