Thanks for the information. Just set up my T-Mobile home Wi-Fi yesterday, for now, I’ve eliminated my router and I’m using the T-Mobile device for everything. However, if I start seeing drops, then I’ll add my router back in thanks to your video.😊

Hope it goes well, it's been a while and i still have my Tmobile router connected through 3rd party router as i show on video...and i am very happy with it, the tmobile antenna isn't far from my house so maybe that was my lucky strike.

With the T-Mobile gateway alone, multiplayer games such as call of duty, star wars battlefront, and fortnite lag badly. Will this 3rd party router fix it?

one other thing that makes T-Mobile 5g a mess with computers and routers is the packet size somewhere there is a video on RU-vid to adjust that as T-moble and other 5g providers use a different smaller packet size so it must be adjusted manually

How do I connect 3rd party router, do I have to change any settings on gateway or the router? Also will 2.4 G devices work with out a 3rd part router? Thanks
@OMNITEK
@OMNITEK Год назад
Just as if you would connect any other device...as i show in video...ethernet cable from tmobile device to the router and thats all...the rest is just setting on your 3rd party router if you havent set it up...but the tmobile on itself will work as well it has 2.4 and 5 ghz bands.

how did check the speed pls? well explained I am struggling to plug our smart TV wirelessly to this same router from T mobil because the router doesn't come with any cables except one power adapter but I don't know how- any help pls? thank you
@OMNITEK
@OMNITEK Год назад
Check the back of the router it should have your wifi password, if you changed it and forgot, jusr reset it with a toothpick on the reset button on the back and it ahould go back to factory again. Regarding cables, all you need is some ethernet cable if you want to go with wired, it should come with one but its way too short for anything. But as per your tv to wifi, just check the back for the password, let me know if you got it.

So u do not need to disable the 2.4 and 5g wifi bands on the tmobile home internet router before hooking a 3rd party router to it like everyone else is saying?.. I have the tmobile home internet Sagemcom fast 5688W router and i want to hook up a ASUS ROUTER AX-57 Wifi6 to it. So just plug them both together and then what settings do i adjust on the 3rd party ASUS that i connected..? Would appreciate some insight.. Thank u in advance..

you gotta try to place it somewhere near a window or attic, i suggest you download "Opensignal" app and see what direction is your nearest antenna (tower), because sometime just by an inch rotation or movement you can gain or lose few megabytes.

I'm confused the title says how to connect without drops implying to use a router but I didn't see any testing done connected to the router. The router doesn't even seem to be turned on...also, in doing so it all depends on the router and it's speed capabilities. Some routers can't go past a certain speed so someone might have more speeds connecting directly to the T-Mobile device.

I have an external router connected and I still get drops it’s counterintuitive to think an external router is going to get to the problem when the drops are made at the cube. No disrespect I’m just saying it doesn’t make any sense what you’re saying because the drops actually come from the 5G module itself

Deceiving! To anyone whos thinking of trying out the Tmo 5G home internet, MAKE SURE to have them check their 'signal' specifically to where you at. It may be available but not that strong / reliable yet. Happened to me. And charged for the $$ w/ no 5G working at all. Hardly can even surf the net! Like mobile receptions, some areas good ( full bar) some areas sux! Sales would promised good / fast connection and everything just to close the deal! Definitely not in my area. Learned my lesson to be more careful with Tmo!
