The best thing about this cover is the fact he didn't try do it 1:1. He made it his own and put a spin on it we haven't heard before.

People didn't like T pain because they thought he was relying on autotune to make hits when in reality he was using autotune to keep himself at bay. T pain is an amazing singer he just doesn't do it often, I would buy an entire album of him doing Ozzy covers because his voice is similar but noticeably different and it's his own.

TikTok showed me a clip that I didn't believe, so (naturally) I came to RU-vid. Watched the live video and was so amazed. Grew up in the 90s and was genuinely impressed with what I heard. I've heard rock/metal bands do MUCH WORSE covers. This was pure fun and amazing! :D

I’ll be honest…I just randomly heard about this a day or two ago. I thought it was a joke and then I saw ozzy comment that it was one of the greatest covers of the song he’s ever heard. I figured okay well if ozzy said it’s good, then it’s good enough for me. I gave it a listen and my mouth dropped. The initial “HEY!” set the mood and then when he started singing the first section with that heavy, raw metal voice effect…I was totally sold. Then when his natural voice came out it was just everything I needed to know. Ozzy was right, killer cover! Way to go, T Pain! He was able to keep the sound and feel of the original, but also stayed faithful to his own feel. Something tells me that T Pain is a closet metal head that has every Slayer, Judas Priest, and Iron Maiden album. Also goes to all of their shows 😂 nobody sings a cover this wild unless they are feeling it from the soul.
