Ronnie Barker wrote this, he was the most brilliant comedy writer. He used to write skits for "The Two Ronnies" but sent them into the producers under a pseudonym so they would not give his skits preferential treatment. It was years before anyone found out what he had been doing. RIP Ronnie your comedic talents are sorely missed. 💜💜💜

Terry was a pure genius..I suffer from bouts of depression and loneliness but this fella never fails to cheer me up. RIP Terry we all miss you xx

This was the heyday of BBC radio, sorely missed. The impromptu handover jibes between Jimmy Young and Tel were classics of British wit and sarcasm.

As a sales rep, all my days, i went out every morning with Terry on the car radio Sitting at traffic lights in fits of laughter, other drivers must have wondered what was going on. I listened to Barry Manilow, Eva Cassidy, Conrad Vieght!!, because of Terry and his producer Paul Walters.......happy days.

This story cost me 3 points a fine and driver warning. Pis***t myself laughing and did a red light. Thankfully missed everything. God Bless Sir T.

How I miss this. Nothing comes close to the joy terry used to bring.

I think the BBC should just replay his morning shows and superimpose relevant traffic and news with AI voices from the original presenters for continuity.
