It was the timing that made me so freaking mad…. Not the decision itself…. He retired 3 weeks before the start of the season, and many people don’t realize that team was set to make a legit run, the colts never recovered from that until this year. Philip Rivers was great for the Covid year, but it was old man Rivers which had its limits.
@@justinspears9220 You sure? I may need to re-read that recent article that came out about him around a little over year ago… but I seem to remember he officially made the decision after a lot of thought as well as after taking to his personal trainer, his wife and his parents while he was in Germany, I believe? He was over there nursing/recovering from a shoulder injury that he got in the offseason while snowboarding over in Europe someone. But my memory certainly is a bit foggy, so I suppose I _could_ just be mixing a few of the things mentioned in the article up… but tbh I really don’t think I am.
@@Austin.Kilgore he had the snowboarding injury well before his final season. Unless he made the decision a year plus in advance, I don’t think that timeline is right. Plus, discussing it and actually making the decision are two different things. I think he probably went back and forth on it. Either way would have been nice for him to do it earlier
Luck knew the dumpster fire that was Frank Reich and Chris Ballard would never bring the city a championship. 7 years and Ballard still hasn't drafted a premium DE or CB. Finally had a WR top 1k yards this year. $10k says Ballard trades the 1st rd pick away and goes after a DE or CB (premium position) in round 2 or 3 where there's only mediocre talent left for those positions.
Maybe if Andrew came back he’d feel differently because no doubt he’d have gotten a standing ovation. Fans want to win the SB and you walked away whe everyone thought you were SB bound. Of course they’re not going to jump up and down for joy and celebrate the career that was cut short during the last preseason game. But yeah I doubt very much Andrew would have come back. I’m sure it did hurt his feelings, but that isn’t the reason you’re not coming back. That’s football. The eagles got booed late in the year this year. Should they all retire? It’s football.
You can’t blame the fans for how it all went down just like players are humans so are fans, Fans who had been excited about the season to come to get it snatched away how do you expect the majority of people to act because it wasn’t everybody ? Like come on now cut it out as a die hard colts fan please cut it out
