Faker during the Swiss Trailer: "The Golden Road, we will stop it" Gumayusi during LEGENDS NEVER DIE "People asked me how I'm going to stop Ruler. I'm not going to stop him. I'm going to crush him." THEY DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD GG JDG BUT GO T1
The demon blood flows through Guma's veins...at this point korea should just use Faker as a breeding bull to pass on the demon blood to future players lmao
The Faker Oner combo is actually crazy. We saw hints of it in T1 vs LNG but this game 3 really solidified that. Oner's Rell is a force to be reckoned with.
It’s not just the combo it’s also the entire laning phase were you can see Oner backing up Faker when he is weak and Faker protected Oners camping and backing him up when he does a play or his weaker
One thing to keep in mind during the Guma vs Ruler in game 4 is that, critically, Guma dodged 2 Qs from Zeri JUST enough to not take damage but also not so far that he misses his autos. If he didn't dodge those Qs he would've been obliterated by the Aatrox + Zeri damage. Guma entered the mfking flow state for a second there.
Yeah, these endgame punchlines have been bangers. (Geng vs Blg) "We were told Busan was church of chovy but what's a God to five non believers" (T1 vs LNG) "T1 the last light of LCK burns bright in Busan" (T1 vs JDG) "It's not lpl vs lck it's T1 vs LPL and they like those odds"
You forget he is also the glue that sticks the team together, without Faker the team seems to be a headless chicken, Poby didn't even play that bad when he subbed in for Faker.
@@a.syching678 You don't seem to be taking into account shotcalling and whats happening over voicecomms. Poby may have LOOKED fine, but what if his shot calls were terrible or decision making?
@@finlayweir2276you must be so fun at parties or any social gathering in general actually...about as much fun as JDG is having on their plane ride home...
Guma's play at 1:06:05 is so ridiculous, I had to pause and step through it frame by frame to notice the Varus q weaved in between 0.2 second kite-autos. Between :05 and :08, Guma made 17 individual actions, each intentional, putting his APM around 340 for a few seconds. That's Zerg micro. But controlling one unit.
He's dodges were pixel perfect; he solely focused on Zeri to pixel perfect miss 4 Q's from empowered Zeri. Micro movements to auto space Aatrox. And then weaves in an Empowered Varus E+Q to finish Zeri off with auto attacks. Fucking MENTAL
@@jkepic25for me, weibo is best lpl team right now, they are at finals, JDG is eliminated. Seeds dont matter at worlds. Worlds is like a different tournament. Different meta, different mindset
50:23 That Game 3 Faker ult with Azir was like a pass in basketball towards the basket for Oner to catch Ruler like a ball and slamdunk him. What a scene.
It's insane though, T1 really beat JDG at their own game. T1 is known for the early game while JDG is known for coming back always because of their inevitable teamfight wins. However, in this series, T1 lost both early games in Games 3-4 and won because they were just better in the teamfights in the mid to late game stage. LPL top laners are known for their insane mechanics, but damn, they really falter in Worlds (Bin and 369). Meanwhile, LCK top laners for some reason step up in the Knockout stage most of the time.
In the previous series they played, T1 did prove that they had the hands to outplay JDG in a team fight. JDG also had the macro advantage in pretty much every game in that series but T1 fought back to rob two games through team fights alone. Now that T1 are drafting better and are actually playing really well, that became one of the big difference makers coming into this series.
@@tiagozilliosoares7988metas change. The worlds meta had evolved into a top lane carry meta where the ADCs just don't get the gold and zone control to play the game. And similtaneously JDG falls out of favour.
They will. Whole team is playing well and they have mastered the pick/bans in this tournament. Plus Zeus will be able to handle Theshy. It's doomed for WBG
@@aetherialityDRX was also weaker than everyone last year. I hope T1 can keep their morale. Theshy and Xiaohu are confidence players and right now their confidence is at an all time high
1:07:23 even if this is the last fight and they are winning big, their guard is not down at all, which is good. The exact timing that they start fighting bottom, Keria ulted the two top champs and they focused on Kanavi&Ruler one by one. Pure perfect execution
That Oner flash in game 3, bro... that was a cornered predator move. He actually turned around and engaged. That for me was a turning point of the series, he asserted his dominance right there. JDG was probably the best team technically speaking, but T1 is all about rage and fury right now. They aren't thinking about anything but being champions.
Everyone is playing so well but Keria is T1's MVP. The fact he was able to change the meta with his unique picks is giving T1 such a huge advantage against these LPL teams who excel with engage supports.
Faker's azir is godly if T1 won the worlds faker should definitely choose azir again for his world skin. It was easyhoon's Skt T1 azir before, there should be another one for Faker's T1 azir!
I know it is highly unlikely but, i hope Guma picks a Varus skin. I love playing him and what he did today with Varus was quite impressive considering where Varus is in the current meta after AP nerfs. I hope they pick atleast one champ which I also love(obv. among the ones they play).
Rewatching this and trying to focus more on what Caedrel is saying, it's insane how accurate his analysis actually is. Case in point, game 3 even far away from that insane Faker play he was already concerned about JDG's team comp because it was apparently easy for their champs to get engaged on and die. Then after that Baron by JDG, unlike some other EU or NA costreamers that i saw, he accurately called out that JDG should get Mid tier 1 and Bot tier 2, whereas others would say they should push down mid for two towers, which is a macro mistake even acknowledged by JDG in an interview. Maybe i'm overthinking it and it was obvious to other people but ts seemed impressive to me
Other streamers tend to downgrade him as a streamer just because of jealousy lmao wondering how he rose to the top quickly. This right here is the reason, analysis with high precision and accuracy, but still acts like he's one of us average viewers with his raw reactions. Best league proplay co streamer to ever exist.
1:05:35 not banning Zeri is actually a good thing. Every other AD would have killed Guma here (because she is on Lulu buff and Aatrox being her body guard) but because Zeri can miss auto (missed 3, insane dodge by Guma) she got evaporated Edit: I didn’t mean this is planned, but I meant only because she is Zeri, she failed the 1v2. Tbh if it’s not Zeri, there is absolutely no way the game is in the same state so everything here is just hypothetical
In pro play, it's not a good idea to plan based on enemy missing skillshots. Sure, it can work, but high skilled players are much more likely to play better
@@sanhakim1335 Still, guma goes on hit varus, then beats aatrox zeri in the 2v1 with the best sidestepping I've seen throughout worlds. @@dumbassdude8372 Well man be fair with Kanavi, in many fights of the objectives he was left alone there to die, not counting some of his deaths were like sacrifices so Knight and Ruler could live but people just see "oh Kanavi died he prolly inted and paypaled him".
I mean the game 3 clutch play by Faker was pivotal in my opinion. I think that if they lose that game they will be in a tough mind set moving forward and if they win that they’ll have more confidence in matchpoint as what they had shown in game 4 Yone Zeus
Yeah Faker's insane play quite literally broke all confidence that JDG had left in that series. They still tried in Game 4 but the writing was on the wall in that game. Every fight was just T1 hands-diff'ing them straight styling on JDG.
caedrel is fkin ON POINT with his draft analysis. ive seen so many other analysts or streamers get it wrong and sometimes feels like they are guessing. but this guy has a strong read on what each teams gameplans are and all the relevant champions in each series.
I don't need that intense final, I just need T1 to finally win the final. I've been dealing with nothing but 5+ years of no life bastards who channel all the productivity they could have had in their life into slandering my team.
its just easy. don’t beat faker and T1 in MSI maybe they will win worlds. but if faker and T1 got beaten in MSI. i’m surely T1 will destroyed them in worlds as a revenge
@@nineblessednineadorednined9214 I feel like part of it is that he used to co-cast with Drakos, so they've started to share a braincell lol. Couple of times Caedrel has said something only for Drakos on cast to repeat it. And of course, Caedrel is pretty good at analysis
Gala took a 2v1 into Guma and got destroyed. Ruler took a 2v1 into Guma and got destroyed. Light aint no Gala, and he aint no Ruler. WBG better have some plans for their botside because Guma is playing like the best ADC in the world right now
Guma has had high highs and low lows but when he is in form he is the best ADC in the World without a doubt. Everyone talks about Ruler but Ruler has his entire team playing around him funneling him resources. Guma in much of T1's games is weaksided while Oner plays topside. Carrying as ADC when you are weaksided is such an underrated skill and in my opinion is what determines who the best ADC in the World is, not who can carry and pop off when they have their entire team funneling them kills and gold.
even watching now this has to be one of the best series ever. Especially game 3, Oner flash engage on the dragon fight, T1 over extending and JDG comeback, and then faker engage to win the game in a perfect mirror of 2017
This series will never get old i still come bback and replay all of this when LCK are on break, and the fact that caedrel predicted all was mindblowing (except for Weibo winning vs. T1) xdd
Guma goes on hit varus, then beats aatrox zeri in the 2v1 with the best sidestepping I've seen throughout worlds. In 1.5s he aas ruler, sidesteps ruler Q, aas ruler again, flashes aatrox q3, sidesteps ruler Q, aas ruler, then lands aa Q on a sidestepping ms buffed zeri while sidestepping 2/3 of the shots from ruler q, then lands 2 more aas to finish off the job, completely breaking Ruler and 369s ankles and winning the second half of the team fight. I've never seen micro like that before. Absolutely insane.
keria's confidence is just immense haha imagine flashing into a fed zeri just to secure a 50/50 chance stun. holy mother of god. he has to be the best aggressive support the league had. also what a game for zeus that forced swap lane by JDG yet he held his ground on the top lane made JDG rotation crumble. what a chad.
50:24 The flashback of 2017 where Faker was killed by Ruler's Varus flash ult and now he did it to him. 1:05:39 The final fight It was Guma's Varus who killed the heart of JDG which is Ruler
T1 turned out to be the better team but both teams played so so good.. T1 tho is on another level like all 5 players are so flexible yet so synchronized it feels like a one man team doing everything at once. It was a treat to watch this series.
Caedrel in game 1: Something with a lot of range. Something that cant get hit. Something that plays far back Guma: plays two screens away as Jhin during teamfights.
@@zenazouzu1607 If they win I don't think so. They must win this one so that they stay together as a team. Hopefully, Zeus will not underperform this time. We all know TheShy is a menace when given a lead.

Imnot tryna glaze but faker saved the game on game 3. I swear to god i was shaking when zeus died. I was like “here we go again with the t1 special”. But then out of nowhere, like I wasn’t even looking at faker, he then went for varus and *maybe* even predicted his flash. Damn. What a chad
Lets be honest...ruler HARD THREW game 3...he gets caught shopping while recalling then when they get baron buff he gets caught by faker at T1's tier 2 turret mid and loses them that game...
I guess you were pointing out that Zeus overstayed top side just so he could try to disrupt JDG from having a good Baron take, but yea after that it kinda gave T1 the setup for that catch: a long ass lane with "unsuspecting alleys" where T1 can just surprise them, give in that game state where most of T1 had Flash there to make a play or something
@@vanixiii5657ruler had no where else to go any other point in the map he'd either be caught out anyway or he'd be too far, he stayed mid cause it was wider and he had flash faker just outplayed him he didn't throw, faker was just, better stop throwing shades on the players.
@@vanixiii5657the death to Zeus was a throw but the death to Faker wasn't. No soul on earth saw that play coming. He had flash in an open lane, far from Faker, with his teammates nearby. That was a max range shuffle, angled to account for the flash predict. He just got outplayed on that one.
Dude I re-watched this whole series the whole day and I can tottally say day with confidence: the best play in this god damn series was guma's 1v2 DESTROYING Ruler and 369. Dude this was one of the best individual plays I've ever seen since season 1. FFS bro! Guma just turned on his ultra instincts GOD MODE and SMASHED it. The level of APM and confidence is simple out of this world to do that in a brutal team fight situation where his team wasn't really winning yet. I know Faker's play's on insect game 3 won the game and Oner's dragon's steal with the wombo combo was too the top 3 plays but Guma's 1v2? Best World's play by far IMO! Period man... what Guma did back there will be LEGENDARY forever in LOL'S history!
You can see how much they learned from last year. Last year they were really excited just to get to finals and ended up underestimating drx this year they look stone cold and locked in they smell blood in the finals.
@@aozy9826he didnt just kill ruler he 1v2'd ruler on fed zeri with an Aatrox backing him up...and ive never seen Guma make a literal bronze mistake by getting caught out and dying because they were shopping while recalling...
@@aozy9826Yes, in fact it does. Because during the most important tournament of the year, not only did Gumayusi beat Ruler, he actually shit on him for 3 games. Same goes for Faker and Zeus. Knight was a useless bitch toy even in the game they won, and 369 got no diffed
Coming into the series, the most important question was asked and that is can JDG really lose a team fight? T1 may have lost against JDG at MSI, but they proved that they were the 1 team that could out team fight the team fighting gods. When T1 are playing on point, they showed that they are indeed capable of beating JDG decisively.
If Faker and T1 won this worlds, They definitely deserve the Military Exception. They carried Korea against their eternal rivals China without contest.
Zeus, Faker, and Keria are already excempted from the military though when they won the Asian games gold though, along with Chovy, Kanavi, and Ruler. Only Guma and Oner are the ones who still need to do Military Service
So about the game 4 draft that I just noticed… Guma’s outplay was insane. Had Ruler picked any other ADC, he easily kills Guma. He missed two AA’s. If he kills Guma, Aatrox and Zeri can fight the rest of T1. If that happens, who knows how this game ends. Of course the circumstances would have been entirely different, but if any other ADC was in that exact position, the game is completely different at that point.
Best plays: 1. Guma's Varus insane 1v2 against Ruler's Zeri and 369 Atrox 2. Faker's insane engage on game 3 with Azir ult predicting his flash 3. Oner's ult engage with flash over Ashe's ult 4. Keria's Bard amazing rotation and utility
Faker never forgot what Ruler did to him in 2016 to win the finals in game 3, so in game 3, this year he paid ruler back with his own flash ult. Just like then ruler was on Varus, but faker made sure this storied played out different. Ruler took a worlds victory from Faker, so Faker took Ruler’s golden road away. Such an insane storyline Faker is the GOAT for many reasons.
I watched this after watching Caedrel's draft video, and I loved watching how different the drafts were in the first game, but how Caedrel was still definitely right about how JDG should've draft. The fact he takes account player skill via playrate to predict how Rumble and Ori should've been banned, and then the game they don't, we instantly see why they should've been banned. Caedrel's draft knowledge is insane. I'm only part way through, but I loved how he's the only costreamer or analyst actually predict the bot lane Kalista after the Cait Ashe, while every other was kind of trashing on it.
Imagine building a super team because you lost to T1 (3-1) last year, only to lose against T1 (3-1) again this year. Good thing JDG did well domestically and in MSI. Otherwise, this would have been an embarrassing year for their org.
Even at MSI they barely beat T1 in Semis 3 to 2. I think a lot of people forget that series but it was close. People thought JDG would clear T1 easy for some reason this Worlds. I knew T1 could do it but I thought it would be difficult.
@@YuYuYuna_the reason people were doubting T1 coming to worlds, is domestically they performed quite poorly at the end of summer. Basically, my expectation of T1 this world was very dependent on of Oner found his form back. And he did, so they won.
