Damn dude! I almost never sit through a video that long. However you do such an excellent job in your presentation and keeping someone’s attention that I watched the whole thing and gained a wealth of knowledge. Thank you for taking the time to make such a quality presentation
Just changed out the old incandescent bulbs on my mom's Kia . They were used for the parking lights on the front of the car. Put some GTR lighting LEDs in their place. Insane transformation. Thanks so much for this well made video! Keep up the great work!
So happy to hear you are liking them, they really do make a huge difference! Let us know if you have any other questions, or need anything else, we are here to help! Have a great day!
This video helped me tremendously because I had no idea what I'm looking for when I searched and a million options to look through. This explained in detail why you should or shouldn't. Thank you!!
This explains why the T15’s in the rear of my old Mazda melted the connector as well as the reflector AND parts of the red lenses. - I had NO idea the T15’s came in different watts! - Thanks for sharing!
That is a fantastic option, you will really love the finished product with those LEDs! Let us know if you need anything else or have any other questions, we are here to help!
@@HeadlightRevolution actually i changed out my Toyota Prado 120s lights all into Leds. So now I want to change the interior bulbs to LEDs. I'm a bit confused on which and which to use
The main problem i have with T10 dashboard lights is that they never have the light source in the correct spot, so the factory diffusers within the cluster no longer function correctly and as a result, you get hot spots and shadows.
I've run across the same issue. You have to try and figure out if you need a lamp that offers more light off the end or the sides and try and pick the one that would work best. It can get expensive in a hurry you end up have to try 5 different types. 😒
I've been using Osram t10 in my front sidelights since 2007 swapped into 3 new work vans used on average 50hrs a week and still going strong 13yrs later. The original glass bulbs would only last 6weeks or so.
Most people after a t5, are after backlight for gauges. The wrong style will cause blotchy light, or "hot spots". . . .I'd also like to add, that you should choose an led that will cast light into the reflector if applicable. A forward facing led will never put as much usable light out of a reflector housing, as an appropriately designed 2 sided led.
Wattage is the measure of power dissipated, or used. In electronics, the electrical equivalent of one horsepower is 746 watts in the International System of Units
Great video. It's a coincidence I've just changed the dome lights of my car by LED application, but they are not T10 though, they are 31mm, even for the door light.
I went online to find replacement 194’s. Omg. There must be a bulb genius on RU-vid I thought. Here you are...thanks my friend foe saving me, and probably a whole lot of us...lmao !
I have 2 of the big T15 bulbs on my kia carens from 2003 and i love em as the reverse lights are on the trunk lid close together its a bright wash of light behind my car
I just checked your website. The big mofo GTR seems to be upgraded and is now 1200 lumens. The new one looks even cooler too. I might get those for my backup lights.
It is very important to me that when I reverse, my reverse light will be blinding people left and right behind my car. I rather then upgrading my T15s bulb in my reverse light into that GTR LED that is as bright as a headlight. I will be cutting off the socket and connect it to 2 very large spotlights that I then mount it on the roof top of my car. Just to make sure people from 10km away can see me and knows, "ah that guy is reversing his car".
Now I think that would get the job done! Just make sure that you have those spotlights mounted with a 55W 5th Generation HID kit for maximum light output!😂
Such a great video! I've been messing with Led bulbs for a while now, mostly store bought and not very high quality, or even wiring small pcbs instead of tubular bulbs. I've come to some conclusions myself, but you explain all just perfectly and give great advice on brands and types of application. Thanks!
If you replace all your turn signals/break lights, etc with these LED’s, do you have to do anything given the different power output? Or just replace and move on?
If I check what other spots I have on my truck IE back up lights and especially my rear seat dome light as the recon bulb always comes lose could u hook me up w good choices
I have a 1998 Toyota Camry. In my running tail lights it uses 194, what bulb would you recommend since these lights will be running for a long period of time
Nice in depth video, though geared more for exterior. QUESTION : what is recommended for 194 replacement for dash gauges OEM and aftermarket just a tad brighter ? thank you
Here is our best selection of T10/194 LED bulbs, www.headlightrevolution.com/lighting-by-size/custitem_cat_facet_bulb_size/T10-SLASH-194?order=commercecategory:asc
@@HeadlightRevolution I just bought me a pair of LED reverse lights super white People are definitely see me when I back up. Your video was very helpful. You’re welcome
The only thing that sucks replacing t10's is that u lose the slow fade welcome feature that comes in my toyota. Instead it will fade on off super quick ruining that welcome light. How can u fix this issue?
Great video…..you know more about bulbs than most. I’m trying to find a replacement bulb for my rv. The bulb is a 921…I think that means it’s a T15. I’d like to get a daylight sort of light….bright as possible. What would you recommend ?
I'm about to replace the PC194 and PC74 bulbs in the dash of my 94 Suburban. Your explanation of the current numbers for the bulbs is very helpful. Since these are in plastic twist lock bases, trapped in a place with very little air circulation, I'm a little concerned about heat dissipation. Any recommendation on whihc LEDs are best for dash lights?
You could go with almost any of them, but if space is an issue, then you would want to go with the T10 Low Profile bulbs linked here: headlightrevolution.com/gtr-lighting-low-profile-lightning-series-t10-194-168-led-bulbs/ If you have any other questions, let us know and we will be happy to help!👍
Great info, any advice or recommendations upgrading headlamp bulbs on older John Deere 850 tractor. The part number listed for the bulb is CH11439. Thanks a lot!
You can sure what's called a PWM (pulse with module). That can correct the electrical flow so the bulb can work on your vehicle. www.headlightrevolution.com/gtr-lighting-pwm-hid-kit-modules-ACC.PWM5202.MOD_2?quantity=1
Have you ever seen issues with aftermarket LED reverse lights that stay on sometimes? They would burn dim when not in reverse. I changed back to incandescent and the issue went away. I just hate to buy another set to try out. Its a 2019 F350 SRW.
My wife's car was rear ended and they fixed it but never put in the trunk light. I bought a t10 194. But it doesn't fit into the socket. I think they wired in the wrong socket. I need something smaller. What do I buy?
Will these T10 LED's be dimable in the dash? Also would love to see 4500k color instead of 6k for other areas around the car/truck. Anyway great RU-vid videos so nice and helpful.
Those T10s will be able to dim down for the most part, with all LEDs if it gets to a low enough voltage they will just cut out. Glad you found this video helpful, let us know if you have any other questions!
Do you know any good p21w's that would be good for a reverse light? I never even thought about it but I always have issues seeing when reversing into my driveway at night.
Got a bike,it mentions in the manual that it's 12v,5w but it's halogen parking lights, not sure what to get, from some research i understand they are t10,live in India so i don't know any of these brands either.i want to convert them to led.
Unfortunately, the only thing we will have that will fix that is adding resistance, and to do this you would have to figure out how to wire in one of these resistors: www.headlightrevolution.com/50w-6ohm-gold-resistor-ACC.RES.50W_2?quantity=1 Other than that, the only other thing I can recommend would be to try some of our bulbs, they might perform differently in that vehicle than the bulbs you have right now. Let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help!
My wife is a rural mail carrier. The turn signal/flashers are constantly needing replacing. Tried LED. They stopped working very fast. Went back to oem. Recommendations?
I would recommend going with a set of our Armor series turn signal bulbs, and going with a set of the 50W 6ohm resistors. They are a tried and true option that we have had a lot of success with, so I think they would work well for you! Let us know if you have any other questions!
Looking for something to replace my T10/W5W parking/position lights inside headlights that have a reflector. 6000K to blend in with my 6000K xenon H7 low beams. No need for canbus because they're not monitored. Recommendations? Please
Looking for a recommendation for an amber 194 (t10) bulbs for my front side markers on my Lexus. Haven't been able to get any to last more than a month or so before they start flickering or completely dying. (even from "reputable" brands.) I'd appreciate your suggestion.
