Game development used to be the exclusive domain of low level programmers, writing in C++ or even Assembly. However, with the increase of hardware speed, that is no longer true, and today, you can easily use other languages to create games.
In this talk, we'll explore what the basic building blocks of creating a game are, and then we'll implement that using a .Net Console Application. Then, we'll have a look at replicating that in front end SPA frameworks, such as React and Blazor.
We'll then talk about why this kind of kata is useful in non-game development environments, and how what we've learned can be transferred to line of business applications.
