Very difficult pit hack by Dacin. This is the best Pit Hack so far, both the level design, choice of glitches, ambience, everything is perfection. This hack has a lot of obscurity difficulty, not only everything is pretty precise, but the glitches/tricks are not very well known, so part of the difficulty is figuring out what to do, my main goal was to finish this hack without opening the movie file, only using the video as reference. I started this project one day after the hack was released, in many parts, i got stuck in, couldn't find the solution and had to take a break. After finishing this, it was very satisfying to look at the results.

2:04 Still can't understand this well, everytime i tried this glitch outside of this hack, i could only warp to the opposite side.
4:14 This clip took me a day, because its very precise (both Y and X axis are very precise), but in the end, i was just dumb for not figuring out how to save one subpixel for so long.
5:54 Nice break, i laughed with this because i did all the setup just to find out that i didn't need the throw block, would have been even funnier if i managed to clip with the throw block just to realize that i dont need it.
6:37 Small break here (which i didn't show in the video), you can get P-speed and jump through the 1 tile gap, but im not sure what keeping the shell would be useful for.

14:40 I only used this throw block strat to be slightly different, in anyway i did the intended trick in a separate test level. This volcano section was very fun, i had to watch the clear video a plenty of times to figure out what exactly i was supposed to do.
15:43 This was definitely the hardest part of the room, this fishing boo really wanted to be lower.... And i'd always miss the second mushroom, for it being too low.

16:46 Its funny how the closest thing to a SMM2 spiny shell we have isn't even custom LUL. I find it really neat to use it in this way.

21:07 Probably my favorite room of the hack, its way too satisfying to rewatch this room after finishing. Getting the moon requires a trick from another room from this hack, i could figure this out because of Dacin's hint in HF's clear video "I even taught you the trick needed in an earlier room..."
22:04 Oops, i skipped the koopa, that was kind of accidental too, wasn't expecting that, couldn' even figure out why the koopa was there.... (to get a bit of height probably?). Also i didn't even realize at the time, how many times i paused in that room, for some reason i didn't try getting the better frame rule before having to pause.
22:51 I think its neat to show that you can clip an item into the ceiling from 2 tiles while being in the ground (which also means a duplication from 2 tiles is possible).
23:35 Despawning stuff at this speed is just way too easy, i ended up despawning the pencil by accident when trying to get a better subpixel to clip through it LOL.
24:51 This last room confused me, i did the Reznor setup and spawned it but couldn't trigger the boss kill, luckily, i could find the solution and it wasn't as complicated as i thought (it was actually simple, anyways had to do it twice lol, im dumb ok?). This was also the hardest room of the hack for me, it took few days to make everything line up.
This hack is just absolutely amazing, not only very challenging, but also a huge learning experience. Thanks Dacin for making this masterpiece!

Holy.............. this is THE most impossible ROMhack I've ever seen. I can't believe the *TAS* has to *PAUSE BUFFER. REPEATEDLY.* I've seen crazy TAS-only Pit hacks before but I've never seen that. On top of everything, every single solution requires something illegal. The physics engine must be broken at all costs to progress at all. I'm floored by the creativity. I genuinely have no idea how any of this was ever conceived of and how Dacin knew it was theoretically possible, even WITH tools. Congratulations on making Item Abuse 3 and ColonThree look like community college programming projects by comparison!!

6:19 I encode directly though ffmpeg and make an mp4, which is small enough so Bizhawk doesn't splice. 9:23 That spike made the section a lot more annoying without making it more interesting. All it did was lead to more brute force and it doesn't require any interesting ideas. In other words, it would just be artificial difficulty. 16:26 This para-koopa has some periodic movement that resembles a sine-wave and it starts at a random offset in that sine-wave. If the koopa moves down to much, then you can't reach it with Yoshi's tongue. 23:06 the sprite in the lowest sprite slot (here: the shell) briefly is on an invisible note block tile, which has a map16 id between 21-25. This makes all out-of-bounds tiles act like tile invisible note blocks for Mario. (Fun fact: this glitch happened to me in some version of the final reznor room as one of my death blocks had a map16 id ending in 22. I was about to win, but then I hit an invisible 1up block below the level and died.)

Oh, i encoded it with AVI thing, so it was like 10 parts for the entire movie, then i just put them all together in a editing program 16:26 Oh i see, i thought of something like that, but that the koopa would go to the left, not down. 23:06 I wonder if you could force something related to that.... Would be neat.
